About this property
Rockview Cottage: Peaceful Lake Champlain Retreat, Private
Step back in time at Rockview, a summer cottage built circa 1900 as a summer getaway for a local Keeseville family and maintained to this day by that same family. Enjoy Rockview's semi-private cove and sand beach, our 25 foot shared boat dock, dark summer skies, and all the wonders of nature in the Adirondack Mountains. Highlights include a fully screened in porch with a panoramic view of Lake Champlain, a location far away from the noise and bustle of cities (although you will hear a train pass through now and again), comfortable sleeping arrangements, a fully equipped kitchen, porch swing, and our beautiful lakefront yard with whispering pines, birds, hammock, and Adirondack chair seating.
The cottage's main source of water is pumped from the lake. The lake water is safe for bathing and cleaning dishes (both hot and cold water service provided). Drinking/cooking water should be carried in.

An old fashioned, rustic family camp on Lake Champlain with great views and a neat path down the hill to a nice sandy beach in a protected cove. Private and quiet but a shared beach with friendly neighbors. A big screened in porch and comfy beds were perfect for a laid back family gathering.

Thank you, Jennifer. It was a pleasure having your family stay a Rockview Cottage. We are so happy that you enjoyed this beautiful and special place.
Beautiful views; kitchen well stocked with dishwear, pans, knives etc; sandy beach. Wonderful house to stay in for a week in the summer. Good hikes near by too.
Great views of Burlington and the moon coming up over Willsboro bay… Camp is as advertised and well equipped. Very private with access to sandy beach… perfect for our family. Thank you to our host.

Charming vintage Adirondack camp on lake Champlain
Rockview is a great rental; clean, comfy, with a vintage appeal. It's in a terrific natural setting right on Lake Champlain. It also has something you don't often find on a lake: a beautiful sandy beach. The Host, Jim, was very accommodating. Great place to relax.

So glad that you enjoyed your visit to Rockview. Hope you find the time to join us again in the future.

Quiet spot on the lake. Beautiful views, lovely little beach cove. Water pressure was surprising at times (trickle or explosion!) but otherwise a sweet rustic spot to spend the week.
It was a pleasant experience that brought back alot of memories . Absolutely loved the porch!

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Rockview! It is a special place that takes you back to simpler times and a great place to rest and recharge. Hope you choose to return sometime in the future.

We had a great week!! We loved the porch and walking down to the beach. Beautiful view of Lake Champlain and Burlington. Bedding, towels and beach towels were provided and everything felt very clean. It was a pretty warm week, we were happy to have fans in each room. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, cooking utensils, etc. The binder of information about the cabin and surrounding area was very helpful. Great communication with Jim about our stay. We loved everything about our vacation! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family!
Rockview was just what I was looking for - a nice, quiet place for my family to spend a week together on the lake. The cabin was very quaint, and the screened-in porch was the perfect spot to relax. Your neighbors are not right on top of you, and there's no traffic going by. There is plenty of privacy. And we all loved the little cove by the water. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to make it there again.
This is a perfect getaway! The setting is absolutely serene and stunning. The cottage is nestled on a rock overlooking the lake, and is very private. A winding and scenic path takes you down to a sandy beach, in a beautiful little cove.
The cottage itself is well supplied and very comfortable! It has a rustic charm to it. The large screened in porch was a great place to spend time as a family. This was an actually very relaxing vacation!

Charming and peaceful retreat!
This very quaint cottage has spectacular views and is very comfortable! Although the cottage is old and a bit rustic in parts, the owners have really done a lot to update and maintain it! The beautiful view from the spacious and comfortable screened it porch is unlike any we've encountered (and we stay in a lot of lake houses). The mountains and sailboats only add to what is already so picturesque. Several of the photos I took I'm thinking of framing! We didn't want to leave this lakeside paradise and we hope to go back soon!

I was looking for a place to unwind and recharge, and Rock View was perfect. The view is magnificent, and I spent countless hours on the screen porch - reading, listening to the lake & wildlife, watching the birds (including a Bald Eagle that landed in a tree in front of the house!) and sailboats make their way up and down the lake.
The beach was a short (but kind-of steep) walk from the house, and we spent many hours enjoying the sandy cove, and were almost always the only folks there.
It is truly a wonderful house and location, and I hope to stay again next year,
Jennifer

Thank you. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to your return visit.
Clean. Chic. Restful. Family camp or couple’s retreat. A private gem on a quiet cove among the pines. Nearby hiking trails, bike routes, swimming and as many active or quiet pursuits as you can fit into your stay.
The house is not furnished with modern amenities but washing your own dishes is a worthy endeavor after enjoying a meal overlooking the lake.
Very private, cozy and clean. Nice beach area . Didn’t know there was no campfires on property ,and didn’t see that there was a signed agreement with what was allowed and what was expected till 2 day into stay. Just a Suggestion post do’s and do nots on site so renters are aware of what to expect when arriving. Other than that stay was great, nice place Jim look forward to staying again next summer. 5 stars
Totally misrepresented listing, with no actual SAFE access to beautiful appealing, beach shown & described in listing. After complaints to (out of state) owner, lack of safe access and cockroaches, cleaning person showed up day 6 (evening before departure) to see the cockroaches. Also TOTALLY unsafe accessibility. No entrances have railings with steps landing on unlevel stone & boulders. Could not be safe for children with property on very high cliffs, unsafe stairways.

It's a "camp" in the Adirondack tradition. Rustic, old, no A/C or granite countertops...think wide-plank painted floors and claw-foot tub. We like amenities when we pay for them anyway but are not "amenity-driven" travelers. Rockview satisfies at the most elemental level. The view, the view, AND did I mention the VIEW? The panorama is absolutely stunning and gives new meaning to the term "binge-watching". The beach is great too and we got good use from the kayaks. I can't imagine a better place to "wile" away the days/nights than Rockview...any time of year!
We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and the cottage reminded us of our grandparents home in our childhood. The lake view from the cottage was awesome and the beach was very good. Kids had lot of fun in the beach and adults too. The pizza from Giuseppe's Pizza Shop was very delicious too. Overall we all had a great time! Thank you again Jim for sharing your cottage with us!
