This 2 bedroom/2 bathroom home is just less than 1100 square feet and is located on a quiet street in Carmel; just ½ block from Carmel by the Sea, and a short walk to downtown Carmel with its white, sandy beach. You will experience the charm as soon as you enter. Hardwood floors and faux paint throughout the house give it a traditional Mission Style feel. Walk into the large living room and view the cathedral ceiling, iron chandelier and a beautiful stone gas fireplace. Relax by the fire while you watch TV on a 42 inch, flat screen or enjoy the Wi-Fi. The eat-in kitchen offers stone counter tops, all stainless steel appliances and French doors leading to a landscaped backyard.
The large master bedroom boasts a king size bed with a warm, cozy down comforter and two large closets. There is a full master bathroom with a stone countertop, stone tile floors and a tub/shower combo.
The second guest bedroom is roomy and has a queen-size bed. The closet includes built-in shelves for additional storage. The bathroom is large with a stone countertop and floors and a shower/tub combo.
The house includes an attached, finished one car garage with automatic door opener.

Please leave the house in the same clean condition that it was in upon your arrival (no need to vacuum or dust, just replace furniture and knick-knacks to their original locations).
Hang up all wet towels. Wash all dishes and put them away. Empty Dishwasher. Leave beds unmade. Heater down to 55 degrees. Lights off. Return key.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We cannot say enough about this lovely home that is situated on a quiet street with easy access to Carmel by the Sea Village and the Highway 1. The home is exceptionally clean and well maintained. It was outfitted with all one would need to enjoy a few days or longer...furniture was extremely comfortable. The beds...OMG...they were incredibly delicious in that once you got in, you did not want to get out. The Owner was very easy to communicate with, access into the home was easy and the stay was most enjoyable.

Totally quiet Carmel place

Positives: Plenty of hot water, plenty of hangers, totally quiet neighborhood. Short drive to Asilomar for a workshop I attended. Sweet yard with lots of bricks. Negative: The washing machine that automatically dispenses a stinky soap made all my clothes stink. That's why the sheets and towels at this place all stink.

Couldn’t ask for more!

This home was cozy, charming and comfortable in every way, including beds, living room sofa and dining. Interior and exterior of house were just as pretty as pictures indicate. Really, in spite of the neighboring fires, we found it to be a lovely vacation spot. The owner was prompt in answering our questions at all times. There was never a lack of communication, nor did we suffer from insufficient supplies and kitchen utensils, as one does sometimes in these short term rentals. Any idiosyncrasies with respect to closing and opening doors, etc. were fully explained by owner at the outset. There is not much room in bathrooms to put one’s pharmaceuticals and other stuff, but shelves in the closets were spacious enough to compensate. The property is well located, safe and quiet. I would certainly return in future.

Lovely stay at Dos Hermanos

My family (spouse 14 year old) had a lovely stay at Sandy's place. We were there for almost 3 weeks. As others have mentioned, the home is impeccably clean. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, trash bags, and dish detergent for our stay. The kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked for most nights of our stay and had all the pans/cookware necessary. There is a great backyard space to eat outside.Before booking, as others likely do, I scoured reviews of many places. I wanted to mention some things about the home for future renters.Carmel is very hilly. We walked downtown every day - it's about a 15/20 minute leisurely stroll. Another 10 or so minutes from downtown to the beach. The walk into town is all downhill, so the walk back is all uphill. We never minded, it was good exercise. My teen walked back and forth multiple times per day with no complaints.Other reviews mentioned that the road is a dead spot for cell service. Perhaps towers have been updated, but my family has Verizon and we never experienced any cell service issues. We worked remotely for the time we were there. The wifi at the home is reliable, but we could have tapped into our phone hotspots if needed.The washing machine does dispense detergent automatically, but it is unscented. I have very sensitive skin (cannot do scented laundry, dryer sheets, etc) and never experienced any issues. Sandy is a great host - very responsive. We would absolutely rent this place in the future.

Nice 2 bedroom 2 bath house in a cute neighborhood. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. It's in a very nice quiet neighborhood where you can walk to downtown Carmel. This is the second time we have stayed there.

Many of us believe that ratings are inflated, but this one truly deserves 5 stars. The house is in a great location and is well-furnished and equipped. The host has provided everything you need. Communication with the host was fantastic -- friendly, timely, professional, and understanding.

Such a delightful home!

The house is in a very quiet neighborhood that feels charming and safe. Wonderful private outdoor space with patio brick pavers. The house was sooo clean and tidy when we arrived. Very spacious living area with a cozy fireplace and lots of bright windows. The kitchen was so nice with everything we needed for a few simple meals, even extra benefits like oil, spices and some storage containers. Beds were very comfy, lots of closet space and nice bathrooms with plenty of towels. The walk to town and the beach is pretty far, a delightful morning exercise in athletic shoes, not a stroll to dinner in heels. Sandy was helpful and responsive. We loved everything about our stay at Dos Hermanos and hope to return again soon!

Christmas in Carmel

Our family had a great stay in this lovely home. We were able to walk or ride bikes to downtown and the beach and it was a short 10 minute drive to Monterey. and Pacific Grove. You can also shop to your hearts content in downtown Carmel with its many stores and galleries. It is a great spot for exploring the area.

Great place with a few things to know/note

Small house with all you need. Other people stated it, just to confirm, the house is a bit offsite, ie. you need a car to get to town. Walking will take 20 min or longer. The house itself is rather dark inside. Overall it has all you need and it is a nice small place. One IMPORTANT caveat: we had ZERO ! cell phone coverage (no AT&T, no T-Mobile, no Verizon). The street/area has almost no coverage. It is like a dark spot... The house has Internet /WiFi) but if you need to make calls, use GPS et al. it will NOT work. We enjoyed our stay, but spend most of the time outside, playing golf etc. Thus, if cell coverage is no issue and you are looking for a small, nice place in a central location - this is great. Communication with the owner was good and overall we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The place was spotlessly clean and exactly as described. Owner great to work with and communicative. Lots of room and comfy. Quiet neighborhood, a few blocks to restaurants. We invariably walked to dinner (downhill) and took ride-share back after dinner. Great place for a base from which to explore the area.
