About this property
Largest house on the Madison River
This is the only house of its size anywhere on the Madison River. Six bedrooms and six bathrooms, large living room, an additional family room, large kitchen and dining room allow your group to spread out. Since 2012, eight of our guest groups return yearly.
You will feel at home the minute you enter this beautiful two level home with a deck right next to the Madison River. Room for lots of family and friends both inside and out. Pour a glass of wine and settle in on the deck or grab your fly rod and make a quick beeline to the West Fork area of the Madison River. Located on six acres and surrounded by green lawn. Nothing mars your view across the river.
Divided into two levels, the portion of the house towards river features a wrap around deck surrounding the large living room featuring a rock fireplace, dining area with a table that seats at least 8, and bar with sink and refrigerator. The deck offers outside seating and a propane grill.
The front of the house features a master suite with king sized bed and soaking tub as well as a shower. The front portion of the house has a additional full bath with a tub as well as a second bedroom with a king bed and a large bathroom with tiled shower. Head towards the back of the house and you will find a large country kitchen with eat in counter and a large dining room with wood stove. Go upstairs and you will find three bedrooms. One has two double beds and the other has two twin beds. They share an old fashioned bathroom with claw foot tub/shower. The third bedroom features two double beds with private bath with HUGE tiled shower. If you go downstairs from the kitchen and dining room, you have another bedroom with two double beds. Right next door is a large bathroom with tiled shower. Also downstairs is a large family room with smart tv, fisherman's equipment area and a second refrigerator. . Go down one more half level and you will find TWO washer/dryer combinations.
You, your family and friends will come for a week and want to stay forever!
But if you do... great adventures lay in store:
Hire a guide for a full or half day float down the river
Hire a guide to teach your whole family the art of fly fishing
Travel to West Yellowstone and enjoy restaurants, live theater, shopping, the West Yellowstone Museum, IMAX Theater or Bear Discovery Center.
Schedule a day to drive in to see Old Faithful, the architecturally famous Old Faithful Inn and the many bison, elk, coyotes, swans, bald eagles and other creatures that inhabit this wonderful park.
Learn to fish Quake and Wade Lakes
Visit Quake Lake Visitors' Center and learn about this fascinating geological area.
Head 30 miles north to the quaint town of Ennis to shop, antique, grocery shop and dine. Head 10 miles west from there and visit the Old West town, Virginia City. There you can take a guided walking tour, horse drawn carriage tour or get on the steam engine train to visit the town of Nevada City.
There is way too much to do in a week and yet every day you arrive back to the calm luxury that is the lovely West Fork Lodge.
The managers are just a phone call away.
