Nice place to stay on our road-trip from NY to CA…. Beats a hotel all day long, even had a fire pit for us to hang around at night and make S’mores…. Thank you!
Comfortable house with nice layout to maximize space

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
A former long term rental that hasn't been totally repaired, updated, nor cleaned. Beds we're comfortable, but sofa bed was dirty and undesirable. Communication was very slow, but host was pleasant. Nice kitchen.
The home was cozy and perfect for what we needed it for. It would be nice if they would put another TV in the bedroom and provide a full set of pots and pans.
My experience at this property was not good. The location is the best part. Just blocks from the beach wonderful. The issues started with check-in. No code was sent. The property was wide open. Once inside rodent droppings were observed in the kitchen. There was no air conditioning. I don’t believe this is mentioned in the property listing. The front door was very difficult to lock and unlock. Check out instructions were contradictory. I got a message on VRBO that said do not strip the beds. I got an email from Vacasa that said do strip the beds. Check-in was late, 4 PM. Check out was early 10 AM. For the cost, this was not worth the money.
Great place close to everything! Nice touches like the coffee/breakfast bar. Check in was simple. Just took a little bit for the host to respond with check-in details. But it was still well before we arrived, as we were coming from 6 hours away. And we never got a response when we asked about late checkout, but we still made it out in time.
The house was very cozy & beds were comfortable. They provided coffee & creamer (Keurig) which was nice! Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again 😊 -Kelly
This unit was so cozy and inviting. Extremely clean and super cute. Host was flexible with check in time and was very responsive. We loved staying here and will definitely be back!
We were in town for the weekend. We prefer to bring our dog. This cute little home allow us to accomplish everything for a great price. We would definitely stay here again. Clean and comfortable.
Loved the home! Beautifully decorated, felt at home, had all we needed. Easily accessible. Located in quiet neighborhood and was so close to downtown and amazing local restaurants - not chain food.
If our daughter chooses Siena Heights for college we will be staying often in this house
We were only there for a very little while. We went to the nascar race and this property was only about a half hour away with good reviews.
Host was responsive and quick to reply.
House was very clean and easy to check into. No real frills to speak of. Just a simple house that provides what you need for a stay. And that’s generally all we ever care about for our trips.
Perfect house that’s small and provides the essentials to get you through a trip. A good sized kitchen, dining room, living room. Bedrooms are a little small, but served their purpose.
The street the house was on was very quiet and just a little ways down the road was ample restaurants and shopping available.
The only complaint would be the water pressure is a little on the lower side and the actual tub/shower is pretty dated. However, nothing felt unclean or questionable at all. Was more something visual that sticks with you and zero reason at all we wouldn’t give the property a 100% rating.
If we were to ever go back to that area of Michigan and this property was close enough again, we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book it over gambling on another property.
This home provided most of what we needed for a quick stay in the area for a family event. It was affordable and close to the activity. The neighborhood felt safe, and the home was clean. We also wanted to bring our family dog, so it was a huge bonus that she could join us. The furnishings needed a little work, but overall were sufficient. The mattresses were okay. The dining table had a couple chairs that were broken, and the sofa bed did not have any linens. We were definitely able to work around these things. Also, I booked the last minute (a few days in advance), and we had not heard check in instructions at 3:15P the day of. This was a little concerning, but when I messaged, the host was super quick to respond that the house was ready. I believe response time was something like 7 minutes. For the price we paid and the time we stayed, we left feeling good about the stay.
Our children were participating in a Powerlifting Meet. Our dogs travel everywhere with us and it was difficult to find something that was accommodating until speaking with the agent for "Cozy Garden House".
The house was very clean and updated. It was just right for our group.
We would highly recommend this house and will definitely let others know traveling to the Adrian area.
The house was clean and would stay again. However, this house needs a privacy fence badly on the one side. When you get there and park the neighbors house and yard are a HUGE eyesore, uncut lawn and garbage strewn everywhere. Also if you are going to use the laundry be prepared for a true Michigan basement that hasn't been cleaned in years. Don't get me wrong this house is 95% great just the other 5% is bad. No troubles at all with host, check in, or anything else for that matter.
Do not stay here….Run Down Property - Filthy! Some unsafe issues & broken/non-functioning items.
Filed complaint & refund request with VRBO. We refused to stay there after finding so many issues.
The owner wanted to meet but to do what? Some areas were not quick fixes. The home is old which isn’t the problem.. it’s the complete lack of maintenance and caring about the guest! This should not be a rentable property in its current condition.
First, we didn’t get check in info until 15 mins before checkin which is unnerving when coming from 3 hours away.
The home is unsafe in some areas, filthy, & some features don’t work properly or at all including;
1. Hard to find. No address numbers for locating, public safety response. Two of the numbers were literally just hanging on an hook unattached.
2. Numerous huge cracks in concrete & uneven surfaces near back entry door are trip hazards. I am disabled & often have to use a cane so it was ridiculous.
3. Smoke detector in front room missing battery.
4. Fan in bedroom shakes terribly while in use.
5. Living room fan doesn’t work.
6. Dining room fan light burnt out bulb.
7. The home in/out was filthy!!
a. All hard floors are filthy! We used a paper towel to show with one wipe how gross they were.
b. Blinds/window tracks & sills are filthy with bugs/dirt and blinds broken in many areas.
c. Ceiling fans were filthy with caked on dust.
I believe they try to cover these facts and lack of maintenance with “cute” decor and photos. Definitely deceitful if you ask us and we would never recommend this property or owner.
