This is an Admiral Home professionally managed by The Island Club, giving you access to a full on-island team dedicated to making your stay seamless, relaxed, and memorable from arrival to departure.

PROPERTY ACCESS

Guests enjoy full, private access to the entire home, including all interior living spaces, the heated private pool, outdoor living areas, hammocks, observation deck, outdoor showers, and beach gear.

A six-seater golf cart is included with your stay, making it easy to explore the island, access beaches, and enjoy Island Club amenities.

Guests also enjoy full access to Island Club amenities, including two resort-style pools, a hot tub, arcade room, luxury poolside bathrooms and showers, half-court outdoor basketball, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, fat tire beach bikes, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas.

As an Admiral Home, your stay includes full support from The Island Club team. Our on-island staff can assist with ferry coordination, luggage assistance, grocery delivery, activity planning, and local recommendations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Reel Laxing is located on North Captiva Island, a secluded, car-free barrier island known for pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and a relaxed Old Florida atmosphere.

The island is ideal for guests seeking a slower pace, meaningful time outdoors, and a peaceful escape. Popular activities include shelling, fishing, bird watching, kayaking, and exploring nearby nature preserves.

GETTING AROUND / TRANSIT

Island Access: North Captiva is only accessible by boat or small private plane. No cars are allowed. Parking at the mainland Welcome Center is $10 per day.

Golf carts are the primary mode of transportation on the island. A six-seater golf cart is included with this home.

The nearest commercial airport is located in Fort Myers. Guests should plan ahead for groceries and supplies, as on-island shopping options are limited.

IMPORTANT NOTES AND HOUSE RULES

Luggage Assistance Included (Admiral Home):
As an Admiral Home guest, luggage assistance is included with your stay. An Island Club team member will load your luggage onto the ferry and deliver it directly to the home upon your arrival. A team member will also be waiting at the ferry dock to assist and ensure a smooth arrival experience.

Golf Cart Damage Deposit:
A $2,000 pre-authorization damage deposit hold will be charged to your card on file three days before check-in and released within one week after checkout, pending golf cart inspection.

Supplies should be purchased in advance or arranged for delivery

Family Fun

We loved our 6 days at this beautiful new home. The ocean views from the top deck were breathtaking and sunsets were even better. The outdoor spaces were perfect and we really appreciated the large screened deck for outdoor dining.

Awesome trip with awesome people in an awesome house

We love north captiva and we keep bringing more friends each year. Your house met our needs perfectly. We spent our days at the beach, rented a boat one full day and enjoyed kayaking in the bay. Being by the pool for dinner and for outdoor Sunday night football was a highlight. The Bengals got the win which made it even better! Who Dey! We added to your umbrella count and we’ll be back! The only downside was the dampness in the house. A dehumidifier would help! We couldn’t enjoy corn hole bc the bags need replaced. Otherwise, perfect!

We stayed in 437-longlook beach house last year but needed a bigger place because we bought extended family. The house was plenty big with room to spare. The pool is a great addition to house. The kids enjoyed it more than beach which was a short walk away. The house was clean, warm,and cozy. We had 9 people so we're a little short on supplies like papertowels, but a short ride to the mango store fixed that problem. Other than that we had no issues. I definitely recommend this place!

Would stay here again IF…..

Our family with children aging from 9-23 years of age stayed at this property June 20 through June 28, 2022. I will start off by saying that we would stay at this property again. The pool was fantastic. Overall the house was very nice. HOWEVER the following issues would need to be rectified before hand. 1. An operational golf cart upon arrival. The golf cart broke down as soon as we arrived. NCIC replaced it in a timely fashion with another golf cart that was not ideal. Finally we received 2 4-seater golf carts for the remainder of our trip. The NCIC took care of the issue, but we spent quite a bit of time seeking an adequate fix. 2. The curtain rod in one of the bedrooms had been broken by a prior tenant. It had not been fixed by our arrival, and we were told that parts were ordered. We had two adult children staying in the room without privacy the entire stay. The curtain rod and curtains were in the closet. In my opinion installing any bracket in order to rehang the curtains and allow your renters to have privacy for their entire stay should have been a priority. You can replace it with the coordinating brackets when they arrive. But something should’ve been done prior to arrival. 3. The master bed was awful. It sunk down in the middle. Every movement generated a very loud noise that woke us up as well as the people without privacy in the room below us. Not what I expect for a Vacation rental of this caliber. The owners need to replace this bed and mattress. 4. The water smelled like sewage after 2 to 3 showers. We called numerous times, and numerous people came out in a timely fashion but could not correct the issue. We met other people on the island renting other properties that were not experiencing this issue. There is something wrong with the water filtration/purification system in this house. A professional needs to evaluate it and repair it. 5. The owners need to take inventory of their beach chairs and umbrellas periodically. The house sleeps 10 people, but there were only six working chairs. Two of the chairs were rusted and not usable. We borrowed two chairs from the property management company only to get out on the beach and realize that they were also rusted and broken and unable to be used. After our second trip to get chairs, we finally had functional chairs for all eight individuals in our party. We purchased and donated to this property an additional beach umbrella as 2 of the 3 were broken.

Great First NCIC Experience!

This was our first trip to North Captiva and we've already reserved our next trip. My wife and I loved it AND the kids loved it. The property was as described, in great shape and really had all that we needed. The kids loved the pool and playing corn hole and the 6-seater golf cart was great to have. We used the grocery delivery service and while it is expensive it was a great experience and something I would do again. Everyone we encountered on North Captiva Island was helpful and friendly. Thanks for a perfect family vacation!

The house had great space for activities of all ages. The island was a nice getaway from our usual routines and faster paced city life. The location of the house was great. You could be at the beach or Club pool and restaurants within a short walk or shorter golf cart ride. This house was also stocked with all the amenities we needed - cooking cutlery to board games, pool and more.

Perfect Family Rental

Our family loved our time on the island! We were very impressed with the house, location, and amenities. Our busy and young family of 5 fit very well and especially loved the pool. We would absolutely rent this house again!

Great property with a few hiccups

The home was perfect for our group. Kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms were great, pool area was amazing. The beach chairs and toys were awesome. Overall we had an amazing trip. A few hiccups: no washclothes in the kitchen to wash dishes, literally no cleaning supplies to clean countertops or floors, pool heater wasn't working for two of the days we were there. The customer service with the management was lacking, but the home itself was great!

Moms on the Run

We enjoyed this house immensely. It is fully outfitted with everything you need. There is plenty of room to be social or to be by yourself even traveling with your family. It’s modern, clean and comfortable. I would be happy to stay here again!

Phenomenal Place to Stay!

Not only was the home basically brand spanking new, the home was beautifully done. The choice of layout for each floor was intelligent, the amenities within the home itself was impeccable, the furniture was comfortable, the home beautifully decorated for "island vibes" but done in a modern & elegant way. The pool and outside areas were more than adequate in spacing for many people to hang out and relax. The crows nest at the top with balcony is much nicer to have then the traditional 2 or 3 levels decks outside for some obvious reasons. ( insects during summer months ). This was our 4th year to the island with my wife and kids, staying in a different home each year -- this was the first one we ALL unanimously agreed we would come back to!

Great vacation!

Beautiful house in a nice location! We loved our stay and will be back to visit again. The house was clean, supplied with essentials, and had a nice golf cart to get around the island.

Fun!!

House is great!! Property manager not good!! Golf cart didn’t work 2 days and we had to call several times to get fixed. Grill didn’t work and manger never responded. Mirror came off wall and property manger said they would send someone over and didn’t come!! Our bags dumped in sand during delivery process. Property manger sucks!! House is great could use a few more cooking utinsils! Overall great house!!!

Most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time.

The property is well maintained and very nicely furnished. Would have been nice to have access to the elevator to get all the provisions to the kitchen on the third floor. But the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need by way of utensils, pots and pans. Being on an island with no cars forced us to slow down from the busy pace of our normally chaotic lives and just enjoy one another's company. And being an avid shell seeker, I was in heaven! Will definitely be back again. Thank you for the hospitality!

Brilliant vacation

Everything from booking process until leaving again the island was just perfect. The house itself is an amazing place to relax and unwind. Beautiful decorated and we felt at home from the moment we walked into the house. We loved the house and the island so much, that we stayed an extra night longer. Definitively can recommend this property! 5 Stars!
