Shack Style Comfort

Quaint little cottage style offering blend in surroundings, cosy and not to lush. Users should not expect hotel style stay. Ideal retreat for those who just want to eat in, relax ,sleep after a big day sight seeing.

A glorious setting at American River

A quirky house with the Oyster Shop across the road. We were in heaven!! the walks are wonderful taking in all the bird life and beauty. Lots of driving to access all the wonders of KI. very meditative as no traffic!!!

Hi Im a busy Electrican on Kangaroo Island who also with my wife run a Thai Restaurant(K.I.Tru Thai).We saw The Anchorage Cottage when the previous owners needed to sell and we fell in love with it.We extensively renovated it to the standards we like when we travel but we are so busy we cant use it.Now we open it for guests to enjoy when they holiday on our beautiful and natural Kangaroo Island.

The Anchorage Cottage is special with a warm and friendly feeling.Its located perfectly in American River by the beach and Wharf area.It is perfect to hang out and enjoy the views, its very central for day trips to discover Kangaroo Island and great to come back to after a full day.
