Perfect

We loved it here and can't recommend it highly enough. The location is great. We really enjoyed American River, and enjoyed daily walks down to the jetty/foreshore/playground/oyster shop. The house itself is really comfortable. Very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable. Lovely big bedrooms. Toilet was separate to the main bathroom, which is a big plus. The outdoor area is so relaxing. The kids loved having so much space, and we could enjoy a wine on the deck, while they played in the fully fenced yard. Thanks for a very memorable holiday. We'll definitely stay here again :)

Overseas guest exploration of the island

American River is a great “hidden” place to stay on the Island. It is quiet and peaceful. This venue is pet friendly and has a wonderful outlook. You need to take all your food requirements, as eating out places often close around 4pm However, you can barbecue on site if you wish. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully it would be cooler! The house / bedrooms became very hot, (despite our host kindly putting on the lounge Airconditioner before we arrived) and to be fair, it was close to 40 degrees for our 3 day stay!
