A beautiful and untouched environment, sounds of the ocean, lots of birdlife and beautiful sun rises and sun sets made this a memorable and relaxing getaway. Thank you Ben and Ria.
The house was perfectly located, wonderfully clean and just amazing. The views were breathtaking and the fact that you can sit out of the wind at the back and still have views is very clever.
The perfect holiday for our family to reconnect and recharge.
This was exactly what we were after. The sights, sounds & privacy of bush camping with the comforts of home. The house was immaculately clean & the towels were so luxurious! Loved the visiting wildlife. Don’t tell anyone else about this hidden gem!!!
Blueseas is a well equipped beach house in a remote area of KI - this is what we wanted! We used it as a base for travel each day to other areas of the island. The house itself was comfortable, yet we wouldn't call it luxurious. The verandahs, both front and back are great! Communication with Ben was easy and he answered any questions promptly. Although our six days were predominately windy we enjoyed watching the ever changing sea vista! All in all, a very pleasant stay at Blueseas!

Charming little ocean front shack with fantastic view
Blueseas is a really great place to stay for an ocean front get away. The host was very friendly and great to talk to. I had a very small ask of him while staying there and he helped me out instantly, can not praise Ben enough for that. The place was clean and tidy, clean quality furniture, big kitchen and a large viewing deck with 180 degree view of the ocean. That part was exceptional! Kangaroo Island in general is a charming place to visit - like a really large country town with friendly people. Lots of long open roads and the sights were great to see.My only criticisms were that the listing stated there was private beach that stretched on for miles,in front - when in fact there was no beach at all, it was just ocean right up to the rocks, even at low tide. The closest beach was just a monument to seaweed and quite small. The other issue was the roads, it took half an hour each time leaving the shack to just reach a bitumen road as the dirt roads which stretched on for dozens of kilometres were non-stop deep pot holes you cant avoid. I was glad I brough a rental car as I would have been upset if I had of subjected my own car to that kind of punishment. You NEED a 4 wheel drive to get around. Admittedly that is not the fault of the owners, but it is something that anyone staying there should be aware of. Overall, we had a great stay, it was a very nice shack which had amazing views, the owner was very nice, friendly and it was quiet and peaceful. Wonderful holiday :)
Fabulous! A secluded property with everything you could need!
Beautiful views, stones throw from the beach, comfortable and spacious living area, lots of room to enjoy your own space. The road (track) in is pretty rough, but worth the drive. Ben was helpful and friendly and met us at the property on our arrival.
A wonderful location that is peaceful surrounded by nature's gifts and teaming with birdlife. The home was well designed for friends to share this location and enjoy the comfort of a warm fire whilst admiring the changes in weather patterns over the ocean! Highly recommended!
Fantastic view from the deck n living area. Relaxing, excellent fire, comfy beds.. 5 star compendium ✨. Wished we had another couple of days to walk the Nat Park n beaches. Ben was very accommodating. Thanks.
A very enjoyable place to stay, presentation and accessibility to owner were great. Location is reasonably remote so requires a bit of travel each day, but would be ideal for those wanting solitude. Recommended.
Could hear a pin drop and this fabulous home away from home. Awesome waking up to sounds of beautiful birds, surrounded by nature. We had an awesome 6 night stay in this secluded property. The road in is a little bumpy but adds to the character of the experience. You need to stock up on everything as Kingscote is your closest place for cheaper groceries! We would have loved a larger TV for enjoying movies in the evening and a few more basic kitchen items would have helped with food storage. All in all we had a lovely relaxing time and highly recommend Ben and his lovely home, when you want to get away from EVERYTHING!
We absolutely loved the location- and appreciated Bens friendly approach and lots of information to make our stay so enjoyable. The only thing was my 6’4 partner found the main bedroom mattress past it’s used by date- too soft! Other than that- great!

About the host

I came to this area on a surfing/ camping trip and fell in love with its unique and unspoilt character. I built my own house here, raised a family and worked as a design and technology teacher in the local secondary school. I have since designed and built BlueSeas to share our piece of paradise
Why they chose this property
Centrally located. It is a one minute walk to the beach. Absolute privacy. Peace , quiet. Floor to ceiling glass and large decks open the house to the totally unspoilt environment and huge ocean views. I designed and built BlueSeas to blend into the landscape, provide a strong connection to nature combined with comfort and style.
