Free WI-FI - we're happy to announce that we now provide free WI-FI throughout the home.

Having just undergone extensive renovations, Millpond is a modern, 3 -bedroom, 2 - bathroom house overlooking spectacular views to the mainland. The house sleeps 8 adults comfortably. Two bedrooms have Queen-sized beds and the third bedroom has two bunk beds. Large sliding doors and windows in living areas and the master bedroom provide sensational views of beautiful Hog Bay and Penneshaw beach.

Millpond is just 25 meters to a clean white sandy beach, which is ideal for families and water activities. A spacious deck and barbeque facilities allows for casual relaxation or entertaining and a fully equipped bespoke kitchen ensures you have everything you need at your fingertips. Open plan living with modern appliances and furnishings and 2 modern bathrooms makes for a comfortable stay. All linen - including beach towels - included as part of your stay. Perfect for one or two families.

We're happy to announce that we now offer free WI-FI throughout the home to keep you connected during your stay.

A well maintained garden with outside fish cleaning facilitates and plenty of parking for cars and boats makes Millpond an ideal setting for the anglers amongst you.

An efficient potbelly wood heater and cosy ambiance also makes Millpond a perfect retreat in the cooler months.

Location

Situated in the pretty seaside village of Penneshaw, Millpond overlooks Backstairs Passage and faces mainland South Australia. Either winter or summer, Millpond provides an ideal holiday location. 25mts from a pristine beach and minutes walk to local shops, ferry terminal, Sealink offices (bookings for island tours), local attractions (penguin tours, golf course, Christmas Cove boat launching facilities, restaurants) and resident fairy penguins and wallabies. Local wineries, stunning beaches and other attractions are easily accessible from here.

Property was lovely with a great view.Good communication from host from booking right through.Kitchen & all other facilities well appointed.We did have to clean up ants in the dining area on 2 occasions (perhaps needs an ant treatment)Also the coffee machine was not cleaned before our visit & the 2nd bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable & dipped to the middle, we turned it around which did help a little.Otherwise, a lovely relaxing stay.Would recommend to future guests.KI is a lovely place, particularly the national park in the west.

We stayed at Millpond for a few nights to celebrate a family reunion on the Island. It was a perfect venue for four adults and two children. It is only a two-minute walk to the beach, a ten-minute walk to the centre of town, and a three-minute drive to the ferry terminal. The living space is fresh and modern, opening up onto the beautiful vista of Hog Bay. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. There is an excellent laundry with a washing machine and a dryer, as well as a clothes line out the back. The two full bathrooms make it ideal for larger groups. It was delightful being able to sit and eat cheese and drink wine on the patio. The host Eddie was outstanding to deal with. He was always prompt in communicating and flexible and accommodating when our circumstances changed. We would love to come back one day and would 10/10 recommend it to our friends and family.

Perfection in Penneshaw

Millpond is a perfectly appointed holiday home. It was an absolute delight to stay here and it will be the first place I look on my next trip to KI. All the little details are there - platters, spices, tools for seafood, puzzles/books for rainy days. The front verandah was a lovely place to relax, watch the dolphins, birds and see the wallabies :)

Holiday of memories with girlfriends

Loved this holiday experience with longtime girlfriends. The house was excellent. Loved the 2 full bathrooms as we had a girlfriend with a moon boot on and legally blind so was very easy for her to find her way around with easy access.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millpond. The location is perfect and the view is breathtaking. It was so much better than I was anticipating.
