Nestle in luxury amid treetops with breathtaking panoramic views of Eastern Cove encompassing American River, Ballast Head & Kangaroo Head. Lagoon House is a beautifully appointed contemporary beach house with stunning indoor & outdoor entertaining areas. Enjoy spectacular ocean & bushland views from the kitchen/dining/lounge. The house sleeps 8 in 4 generous bedrooms (2 Queen & 4 Singles) with 2 bathrooms. Both queen bedrooms have private decks with an ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom. Modern chef's kitchen features 4m stainless steel island bench, dishwasher & microwave. Covered outdoor deck with large roasting BBQ facility for informal meals. Outdoor shower & lots of room for boat parking.

Lagoon House KI

Once you arrive on Kangaroo Island you are only a short drive to Lagoon House. Situated 18km from the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal or 35km from the Kingscote Airport. The house is set on the edge of an ever changing tidal lagoon. Wallabies & the Heath Goannas make their homes in the bushland surrounding Lagoon House. You can watch them from the deck as they go on their daily walks. Possums & echidnas also live close by. The safety of the lagoon makes an excellent breeding ground for many of the Island's unique bird life. Blue Wrens flit amongst the trees just outside the deck. Fish for King George Whiting off the beach or maybe feed the pelicans at sunset at Strawbridge Point. Swim in the pristine waters of Island Beach or just enjoy the silence of the beautiful bushland.

Gorgeous view!

Excellent stay. Beautiful home and view to the ocean from the large outdoor deck with a great table for meals in the evening. Host was responsive to questions. We would stay again if in the area!

Amazing views

Gorgeous home in a gorgeous spot

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. As a bonus, we saw small kangaroos hopping around at dusk and dawn from the house's deck. Please drive safely and slowly on KI -- particularly at dusk/dawn -- to help protect this wonderful place. Thanks for a great stay!

Great place to stay for family and friends

Great location! Breathtaking view looking out to the bushes, lagoon and sea, and occasionally see kangaroos and different species of birds wondering around the house, felt very close to nature. Cooking in the kitchen with the view is priceless, kitchen is fully equiped and convenient and just felt like home. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back next time visiting KI.

Lovely property

House and bush surroundings very nice although travelling off road for around 4kms would be more suited to an off road vehicle.The children loved being so close to the wild life . Overall a good 5 day stay with family. I would recommend this property.

Awesome private location

Stunning private holiday home. Amazing views from inside the house and balcony. Love the wildlife with Kangaroos and wallabies mornings and evenings waiting for you to feed them. Beautiful beach not far from the home. Would recommend to anyone looking to relax and unwind.

I loved the property and the surroundings, the house was immaculate, spacious and the view was fantastic. The only negative the beach is not swimmable and a bit far away. Would not hesitate to go back again.

An amazing property for our first visit to Kangaroo Island… The house is incredibly well set up - more plates and glasses than I have at home. It’s obviously a very well loved home, with personal touches everywhere (like a fish cleaning sink under the house). And incredible stay! Joan was very helpful with changing dates and any questions we had. Can’t recommend it enough!

Dream vacation house on Kangaroo Island !

Lagoon house was amazing. We had the time of our lives. Everything was as described. Attention to detail second to none. Wildlife galore right at our doorstep. Incredible views and so much more. The wonderful stay at Lagoon House

Our family had an amazing time at Lagoon house. It had a beautiful view of the lagoon at the back, alongside the private, scenic path that leads to the beach. The facilities were incredibly clean (the kitchen was accompanied with full sets of glasses, plates and cutlery, there was also a barbecue!) and kangaroo/wallaby food was provided in the expansive pantry. We were lucky enough to be visited by a few kangaroos and the neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. There’s even a collection of kids toys and books provided in a cabinet. We definitely will back next time!

Peace and tranquility

Absolutely the best place I’ve stayed in KI,amazing host Joan helped us to no end after a ferry booking disaster. The home is the best I’ve ever stayed at. Can’t fault it. Modern, everything you need is there. Amazing views, Amazing home, that lacks absolutely nothing! Feeding the wallabies and the morning sunrise and the views are the best I’ve seen. Best place I’ve stayed, will 1000% be back Thankyou for everything Joan, you are an absolute gem 💎 if I could give this home 6 stars I would, Unbelievable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stunning location, gorgeous house

In one word… perfect! Lagoon house is so very well designed. The owners have clearly thought of their guests at every step. Each morning you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from either inside or on the deck, or spend time soaking in the peace and tranquility and listening to the birds. The view of the lagoon and bay is wonderful. In the evenings we had guests in the form of a large kangaroo and a couple of shy wallabies. It’s a great base to plan day trips across the island. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and is stylish and very comfortable. Great communication from the owners, they are lovely and very helpful. We loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat!

The house was superbly appointed with everything we needed. The northerly aspect kept us warm (we were there in winter) with generous rooms and spectacular far reaching views across Pelican Lagoon to the sea. The house is ideally located. Only 25 minutes from Penneshaw (great pub especially the battered fish) American River (delicious oysters) and the wineries in Dudley.Our hosts were generous with information and always a pleasure to deal with. We had a marvellous time and highly recommend this wonderful property.

Pure Beauty

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! The views were simply breathtaking, waking up to nature each day was a dream. We spotted wallabies, birds and kangaroos right from the balcony, which added such a magical touch. It was the perfect setting to create unforgettable memories with our family. From the moment we opened the front door we were all squealing with delight. The house is well equipped and has the most beautiful views. This was our second stay on the Island and we chose to stay close to the house this time to enjoy the home and have R&R. Thank you for sharing this delight with us.
