Nice cabin but dusty
The cabin was a nice size for our family. It was basically clean except for the cobwebs everywhere., on the walls, windows, stairs and even the elk. There was WiFi but no dish tv and a very small number of disks and VHS tapes. We requested and paid for a cabin that allowed dogs. When I got the last email before going it stated no dogs or alcohol. I called and was told the dog was fine. Not sure about the alcohol ban but when I did another search for a cabin that accepted dogs this one showed up. I feel like there is some sort of bait and switch going on.

Hi Debbie, We are sorry to hear that the cabin fell short of your expectations. We take the accuracy of our listings seriously, and we do not advertise that cable is available as an amenity at this property. We also let travelers know before they book that alcohol is not permitted. We apologize for any confusion over the pet policy - it was updated you confirmed your booking to no longer allow pets, and we will ensure that we are correctly stating the new policy throughout the listing. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels. Best, the Evolve Team
The property was very nice, but there were a few minor problems such as not having adequate paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags (probably the responsibility of the cleaning personnel). Also, more problematic, the upstairs shower leaked some water onto the cabinets and wall below and when we left on Sunday we could not open the lock box to retrieve the key so that we could lock the front door. The owner/ manager was contacted by phone/text about the shower leaking and we did not use it again after that and also about the lock box problem. He suggested trying different things to open the lock box but nothing worked. The dates for our stay on this survey have us arriving and leaving one day earlier than our actual reservation dates and I wondered if somehow the code to the lock box got changed because he thought we were leaving on Saturday, the 19th instead of Sunday, the 29th. I attempted to email him about the lock box problem and insufficient paper and bags when I got back home, but my email was returned. I will try again.

Merle, while we're glad that you found the property to be nice overall, we're sorry that certain aspects did not meet your expectations. This homeowner provides the industry standard of essentials for travelers, but we apologize that this caught you off guard. The owner let us know that the lockbox malfunctioned due to the displacement of the key inside and they did not change the code throughout your stay. Thank you for your feedback and we wish you all the best in your future travels! Best, the Evolve Team

Wonderful Cabin, well taken care of, spotless, and amazing location.
My Wife and I rented this cabin after our wedding for a short honeymoon/getaway. The cabin exceeded our expectations. House was beautifully furnished with everything we needed. The Owner, Russell was very attentive to any questions we had and made sure that all of our needs were met during our stay. The location in Duck Creek was perfect for us. We ended up driving to Zion for hiking one day and Bryce another. Even took the short drive down to St George. The property overlooks a small private airstrip, we were able to see one of the neighbors take his plane out the morning before we took off, pretty cool. At night, the area was completely silent, perfect for star gazing on the large patio, the combination of high elevation and zero light pollution was a spectacular sight. Duck Creek will always have a special place in our hearts thanks to Russell and his cabin. Thank you!
A beautiful, well maintained cabin in the middle of a semi-private community. Roads are unpaved and a little difficult to access in poor weather, but the area is interesting and gorgeous. About an hour drive to Bryce canyon and to Zion. This cabin is high up and driving to it from Cedar City means cresting a summit of more than 9000 feet, which is both difficult for accessibility (hard to get anywhere in the middle of the night, for example) but it makes the drive there gorgeous and dramatic. Comfy beds and accomodations though the floors on the upper level creak so you'll need heavy sleepers taking the downstairs rooms.
We are a family of four (2 boys 8 and 10) and brought grandma along. The cabin appears to have been recently remodeled. Well stocked kitchen. The basement level had another sitting room, and bedroom with 4 bunk beds. Two families could easily stay here. The owner (Russell) contacted us before arrival and was always available and responsive if an issue arose or we had questions. In the week we were there, we did Zion, Bryce Canyon, and skiied up at Brian Head (plenty of snow).
The only two nits I can think of and they were minor, were no wine glasses, and the internet is slow/inconsistent. On the latter, this seems to be an issue in Duck Creek generally. If you're traveling to this beautiful neck of the woods, however, you should not be on the Internet much anyway (as my mother would say).
Spent a beautiful spring break here. Highly recommended.
Rented this cabin for a couple of nights with family. Property was amazing. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. The owner was excellent at communicating. It was well worth the money.

Best place we have ever stayed
This was possibly the nicest place we’ve stayed at. It was nicer in many ways than we ever anticipated. More amenities than other places, it had very comfortable beds and modern conveniences. It was clean and I loved the location! The scenery was amazing with the wrap around porch. The owner was very responsive and courteous. Looking forward to visiting here again. We will definitely be rebooking in the future
The location is perfect as you can drive to both Zion and Bryce national parks in about an hour. The views from the cabin on the valley are very beautiful and we saw both deers and antelopes right in our garden. The cabin has a lot of charm, comfy beds, and is really big, with a basement full of fun games great for the whole family. The cabin is a short drive away from Duck Creek village that has a nice coffee shop. Some neighbors have planes in their driveway and occasionally take off from the nearby runway, which is really cool to see. A great place to relax for a few days (also has a big TV in the living room with Netflix, etc). The owner is also very helpful and responsive. We had a great stay and would definitely rent this place again in the future.
We read all the reviews regarding this property, and took into consideration all the little problems, before renting it. BUT we figured it’s a nice cabin, what could be so bad? Well, the biggest surprise was the property had been listed on two separate websites with Air Conditioning, which was the primary reason we rented the cabin in the first place. As it turned out, there was NO Air Conditioning - whatsoever! During the day, the cabin temps easily reached 83 degrees; and the inside cabin temperature was very uncomfortable. For the owner to tell me he didn’t know it was advertised with Air Conditioning after 2 years of listing on VRBO - and a competitor's website, seemed to us - ridiculous and deceiving. For him not to review his own listing, seemed irresponsible. Having air conditioning in a listing is a huge advantage for a host, and that was the primary reason we rented from him. BUT The WORST problem, besides the non-existent air conditioning - was the RAW SEWER ODOR that permeated the cabin continuously. Mr. Cook called his so-called professional plumber, who, following a brief visit, confirmed something was wrong - but couldn’t pinpoint the actual problem. The plumber suggested “dry traps” and that the problem may have been remedied through our own bleaching actions. We, as guests, went out of our way to purchase 2 gallons of chlorine bleach, and proceeded to pour the bleach directly into every toilet and drain in an effort to mitigate the odor throughout the cabin. This worked for about 24 hours. Mr. Cook proceeded to tell us to close the basement bathroom door - where the odor originated. How could he know this is where the odor was stemming from, without prior knowledge? The least he could have done, as a host, was to come and make a site visit to make a self-determination whether or not there was a serious sewage problem at the cabin. We requested he visit, and he flatly refused to visit the property as he had personal issues going on; even though he lived only 75 miles away AND we were clients of his as well with personal problems (sewage odor). At that point, falsely advertising Air Conditioning on VRBO and on the competitor's website, as well as smelling the most nauseating sewage odor during our entire stay-- we were put off, disappointed, angered and finally asked for a refund. We paid a premium for air conditioning and could have rented for far less for similar property. Caveot Emptor!

Hi Avery, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify what happened during your stay:
- We apologize for the listing inaccuracy on a separate booking site that affected your stay. We've updated the listing across all distribution sites to make sure that AC is not advertised and reimbursed you for this amenity.
- As soon as we heard your concern regarding the odor, we sent a plumber to address the issue. I determined that a professional would be able to better investigate and solve the problem. Unfortunately, the plumber was unable to detect a smell after the bleach was used so he was unable to resolve the problem during your stay.
- Since then, the matter has been fixed and we've hosted many satisfied guests.
- We hope the measures taken help to make up for the inconvenience you experienced and appreciate the time you took to leave your review!
The property was as advertised. Beautiful cabin on a lovely property. It had a well-stocked kitchen and working gas grill for cooking. There was a fire pit outside and a little Creek running behind the cabin. It was a very picturesque vacation spot. We only had a couple of issues with one of the three toilets not flushing (we let the property manager know and just used the other two) and dirty grill utensils on the grill. There was nothing that wasn't easily fixed and certainly nothing that ruined the spot for us. Mr. Cook was very responsive when we asked him questions or texted him. Our stay at Duck Creek was fantastic!

Cozy, clean and well appointed
Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at the cabin. It’s very spacious and had everything we needed to feel comfortable as a family, and the owner was very responsive and considerate whenever we had a question or problem. Fortunately, we knew there was no cable or satellite before we arrived, so we brought our AppleTV box to fill the gaps between activities.

Picturesque Setting / NO working TVs
Very picturesque cabin, 3 full baths wonderful for 3 adult couples, deck /porch area very comfortable setting
The 4 TVs were misrepresented, not even a local station. There was a few child DVDs and lots of VHS. The cabin was rented to 6 adults so the DVDs were inappropriate. And the VHS could not be run in the living area. We were not told when renting it that there wasn't cable or satellite. We would not of rented it if we had known. We request a refund due to the non working TVs.
Gas fireplace needed a cap. The owner was notified.
The driving directions should specify Strawberry Point Road . There are 2 Strawberry roads. Thank goodness we had GPS.
There were deer on the property in the early morning with fawns.
Thank You,
Sue Williams-Ginner
