Romantic, peaceful lake facing one bedroom cottage, dog friendly with sauna.

Island View Cottage is a rare find. Step back in time and enjoy almost 600 feet of lake shore on Vermonts Lake Champlain overlooking Kellog Island and Keeler Bay with the Adirondack Mountains as a backdrop.

This private and peaceful cottage has one double bedroom with ensuite lavatory and sink, connected by an outside deck leading to an indoor seating area, sauna, shower, eating area with a limited kitchen. The kitchen has a kettle, coffee maker and a small fridge . The deck area has seating for two and wonderful lake views.

Access to the lake is via steep steps to a small cove which has a dock and swimming area. This is shared with the Tennis Cottage and the property owners Tom and Catherine and their two Springer Spaniel dogs.

There is private parking.

Bedlinen and shower towels are provided. Bring your own swimming towels.

South Hero Cabin

This is a beautiful location. There are plenty of walks and trails nearby for us and our small dog. I am sure it would be great in the summer to be able to actually get into the lake! Sitting on the deck and the dock were very good for the soul. We enjoyed the sauna as well.

Lakeside Cottage

My husband and I went during peak foliage time. The colors of the trees and the view of the lake was spectacular. The cottage was decorated nicely and comfortable. I did find the situation with the bedroom and the kitchen/living area not being connected odd and sometimes annoying, especially showering. I'm sure if it was summer and the weather warm and sunny it would not have bothered me, but the mornings were chilly. We did sit on the deck and watch the sunset, super beautiful and took a walks on Kibbe Farm Rd. The cottage was truly relaxing and a great place to reconnect with your partner.

Great location and hosts

Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the sunset views and the area. Burlington only 1/2 hour away with plenty to do/eat there! Catherine and Tom are great hosts making you feel welcome and providing dining options. As the writeup says, the two rooms are only accessible by outside doors connected by a deck. Having the shower in the kitchen area and a bathroom sink in the other area took some getting used to. The kitchen only features a two burner hotplate but good enough for breakfast!

Thank you Robert for a great Review , This might help our future guest to choose between our 2 cottages according their priorities ... Kibbe point cottage as a full kitchen and a separate bathroom with a door .. All rooms are are accessible from inside . # homeaway 4905496 and you still have lake view ! With Island view ( our totally waterfront Tiny lake house ) our focus is on the outside because of our Spectacular views , and we still believe our amenities are nice .... indoor kitchen space is certainly small and limited , we still provide a rice cooker and steamer , a brand new 2 burner hotplate,small fridge , coffee maker or french press , mini blender and also a barbecue is at your disposal on the outside deck ... We upgraded in the current of this summer Island view with a Duxiana king size bed and a most comfortable outside sitting area . I am glad you have enjoyed your stay at the lake and thank you for coming our way . Catherine
