Great pool!

The rental was exactly as pictured and very clean! The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the whole family. The shallow top tier of the pool is perfect for young children. We loved our stay at this location and plan to return!

We had a wonderful time staying here. There were five of us and it was nice and spacious. Good location to restaurants and shops. We had a little trouble with the code when getting checked in but they were very responsive and helped fix the issue right away within 5 minutes. Would definitely recomend staying here!

Amazing place in Princeville!

I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could. We had a blast staying here, and it was a great fit for our family of five. The accommodations were more than what we expected, including beach gear, an air mattress, and many kitchen accessories. The location was beautiful, and it served us well as a base for both relaxing and exploring. We would absolutely recommend this place to others!

Paradise!

This was a beautiful condo and looks just like the pics. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were tons of extras…beach towels, beach toys, scooters, and bikes for the kids to use. The property is breathtaking…the north shore is definitely the place to stay. The views of the golf course and mountains and gorgeous. Short drive to Hanalei. We will definitely stay here again. Great Location and Quiet Community

This was a great villa and very well maintained. My wife and I enjoyed our time here. The community was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. There weren't a ton of choices places to eat nearby however there were enough close by to provide a variety if we didn't feel like cooking ourselves. the villa was well stocked with starter supplies and kitchen utensils. The management staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this location and would definitely consider staying again when I return to the island.

Beautiful home, generous amenities, great communication

This is a lovely, well-equipped home. One of the best vacation rental kitchens I've experienced in terms of appliances, cookware and utensils. My husband was surprised to find really decent surfboards in the garage and I enjoyed having use of a bicycle. There were even golf clubs. Felt like staying at the home of a thoughtful friend. The only improvement would be a larger hot water heater, but I would gladly rent this home again! Also enjoyed the convenient location and quiet surroundings. Very much appreciated the early check-in so that I could have a business Zoom meeting.

Bad costumer service!

Management company was extremely unaccommodating. I requested a 2 hour early check in I was told NO. I explained I was traveling with 3 large golf bags at the back of a jeep truck and I asked if there was anywhere I could store them until check in. I was told NO. Upon check in there was a very large double garage that was empty. So basically they were not going to be going out of their way. UNIT WAS DIRTY, lots of sand on beds. I reached out to management and was advised to change the sheets myself and that they were going to send housekeeping the next morning. Guess bedroom had lots of dead bugs. Something was crawling on my daughter’s face during the night and she freaked out. The unit was very hot upon arrival so I reached out to management, AGAIN SHE WAS RUDE and super condescending on her email reply. Overall the unit was nice in a nice area.

Aloha Edith, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Please allow us to speak to a few things mentioned in this review. The guest asked for an early arrival and our team was still preparing the property as check in is at 3pm and she was wanting to arrive at 1pm. Our team was very courteous and respectful and shared that unfortunately we weren't able to help with this request because we were still preparing the property. The guest was not happy and let us know about it. When the guest asked us to store their luggage until check in time we explained as nicely as possible that we do not store luggage for any of our guests due to the liability associated with that. With regards to the guests claims that there were dead bugs throughout and sand in the beds, we take cleanliness very seriously and we did have a housekeeping manager inspect the property prior to arrival. Respectfully, we beg to differ that the property was dirty and that there were dead bugs throughout the property as well as sand in the beds. We have all of our properties treated on a quarterly basis by a professional pest control company so being that we are on an island, we do our best to be proactive with ensuring all of our properties are clean and free of any type of bugs or pests. Our goal is for every guest to have a great time so we're sorry we missed the mark with this guest. Mahalo, Kauai Exclusive Management

unhelpful property management

I booked this condo based on specific criteria, including AC. If you’re familiar not every property in the islands has AC. Day of arrival voice message AC wasn’t working, part ordered. Unpleasant and unhelpful property rep conversation. No ETA on part or repair, unit was hot inside. Not willing to help find another property, not willing to compensate at appropriate amount. We left, didn’t stay. It was insulting, no regard for the guest, impression was the owner was most important factor. The 45 minutes we searched and found another property, the upstairs neighbor had a screaming toddler throwing a tantrum and we heard every foot stop above. Terrible noise carry through ceiling and we didn’t have any doors open. Highly unfortunate, we’d really looked forward to staying. Only upside was full refund since we didn’t stay. Would not recommend property management, hesitant on those ground floor units.

Please allow us to speak to this negative review and explain what really happened. The AC had stopped working before this guest was due to arrive. We brought out a professional AC company to address the issue right away. We were informed the parts needed to fix the issue had to be flown in as it was not a simple fix. We had hoped that the parts would arrive prior to this guest's arrival but unfortunately they did not. Being this was something out of our control, we still felt it was appropriate for our general manager to reach out and personally update the guest. We were not able to connect with them the first time we called and we left a voicemail explaining the situation asking them to call us back. We felt it was better to be transparent about the issue and offer compensation (without the guest asking for it) vs allowing the guest to arrive and find out the AC was not working for themselves. Contrary to what the guest said, we were very professional and did the best we could to navigate the guests extreme upset. We also offered a substantial amount of money for the AC being broken and the guest was very rude and insulting towards us when we did this. We remained calm and professional and after doing the best we could to offer our apologies as well as substantial compensation, we offered the guest the option for a full refund should they choose to stay somewhere else. After yelling and hanging up on us, the guest called back and demanded we move them to another property that was more than twice the price they were paying. We explained we could not do this which caused even more upset for the guest. In the end, we refunded the guest in full and they left the property an hour after they arrived. The whole situation was unfortunate and we're sorry we did not have the opportunity to host this guest as we had hoped. Mahalo, Kauai Exclusive Management

“A Series of Unfortunate Events” & a “ Tale of Two Cities” regarding the A/C Unit

Unfortunately, property ongoing A/C issues. NOT first guest to report. Villa has Smart A/C unit. Initially told keep all doors & windows shut & it would blow cold when first expressed that A/C not working. Told me if still wasn’t blowing cold the next morning to let know & they would send maintenance to “fix it”. I woke up to 83 degrees in the villa. Ventured out of the property, let property management know that, still experiencing A/C issues & that villa was in the 80’s. The follow up I received from Kaua’i Property Management was that “the A/C is “Out of Order” & that is why we left you three fans”. By the time I got back from “being out & about” as I was on vacation & read the messages from the property management, it was already evening. I responded & indicated my confusion & frustration over the situation as “No One” had told me prior to check in or “upon arrival” that there was an issue with the A/C. Let alone, what I thought were air purifiers in the closets were actually fans. However, as a FREQUENT user of VRBO for booking “many” vacations, I will give you the “heads up” that I did not have. If you experience ANY issues upon checking in to your VRBO vacation rental, you NEED to contact VRBO Customer Support within 24-hours of arrival. Including A/C NOT WORKING!! They will help you find another accommodation or help with appropriate compensation. I have a medical condition, need to seek respite from heat, inconvenienced my family by retreating to their villas.

Aloha Nichole, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Please allow us to speak to a few things mentioned. To start, we are so sorry the AC broke. While this is something our of our control, we understand how frustrating it can be and our team should have done a better job communicating with you. There was a definite breakdown on our behalf. One of our new team members who only works the night shift was the one who suggested you keep all the doors and windows closed. She was not aware the system was down and we take full responsibility for not properly communicating this to her prior to the start of her shift. We did heavily compensate this guest for every night there was no AC so we would also like to make that known. Nichole also received a follow up call from our GM as we take these sorts of situations and guest upset very seriously. Ultimately we will learn from this and do better moving forward. The AC has been fixed and it now working properly. Mahalo, Kauai Exclusive Management
