Flavio was very attentive, friendly and had everything setup for our adult getaway! The home was beautiful and each sleeping area had its own on suite bathroom. I’d recommend this home to anyone looking for a calming retreat like experience. We will be back! Thanks again Flavio!

About the host
Hosted by Flavio Almeida
Hi, I’m Flavio. I live in Scottsdale with my family, and Verde Escape is our personal retreat, a place we created to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty and calm of the Verde Valley.
We love spending time outdoors, exploring Northern Arizona, visiting local wineries, hiking, kayaking, and simply enjoying quiet evenings watching the sun set behind the Mingus Mountains.
When we’re not here ourselves, we love sharing this space with guests who are looking for the same things we are: comfort, peace, nature, and meaningful time with family and friends.
Being a host allows me to offer more than just a place to stay. We enjoy helping guests discover what makes this area special, from hidden hikes and kid-friendly river spots to our favorite local restaurants and wineries.
I’m very hands-on and always available if you need anything during your stay, but I also respect your privacy and want you to feel completely at home.
Verde Escape was designed with intention, care, and a focus on wellness, comfort, and connection. Our goal is for every guest to arrive feeling welcomed and leave feeling rested, refreshed, and already planning their return.
We truly appreciate you considering our home for your stay, and I look forward to hosting you.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Sedona and the Verde Valley shortly after moving to Arizona in 2015. From that moment on, we knew that one day we wanted to have a home in this area — a place where we could slow down, reconnect with nature, and escape the pace of everyday life. Over the years, we explored many parts of the region, and Cornville quickly stood out.
We chose Cornville because it’s close enough to Sedona to enjoy its beauty, hikes, and energy, yet just far enough away to truly unwind and avoid the heavy tourism and crowds.
Having a home at the Oak Creek greenbelt, just minutes from Northern Arizona’s wine country and only about 90 minutes from our home in Scottsdale, feels like a dream come true.
A dream we are happy to share with our guests.
What makes this property unique
We designed it as a place to slow down, relax, and really enjoy time together, and we love sharing that experience with our guests.
The home sits on over an acre near the Oak Creek greenbelt, surrounded by mesquite trees and wide-open skies, which gives it a peaceful, private feel that’s hard to find. One of our favorite spots is the sunset patio, where we love to unwind while watching the sun set behind the Mingus Mountains — especially when paired with our Nordic-style spa with a sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge.
Inside, the house is set up with three king suites, each with its own bathroom and private entrance, so everyone has space and privacy. Whether you’re here to explore Sedona, visit local wineries, get outside, or just unplug and relax, Verde Escape is meant to feel easy, comfortable, and memorable — the kind of place you want to come back to.
