Everything about our visit couldn’t have been better beautiful home. Excellent view. Everything laid out perfectly. Have no complaints with highly recommend this location for your next visit.
I open Stanton VRBO houses for probably 10 years. This is by far the best experience I’ve ever had. Not only was the property filled with extras, the host was very nice, and the property was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Thanks so much for sharing this Adam! We really appreciate it and we’d love to welcome you all back anytime.
We had such a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for our family and we really enjoyed the big covered porch and all the yard games. The hosts were so helpful with suggestions on where to go while in town and very responsive. We can’t wait to come back and would definitely choose this lovely home again!
The space was perfect and had everything we could have needed, and more! A perfect getaway and I loved the area. Would absolutely stay here again (and plan to soon!)
The house is so cute and is set up for cozy comfort. The kitchen has everything you need, each bedroom has multiple pillows and blankets to choose from. The outdoor spaces of the house are almost as special as the interior. Plenty of beautiful spots to sit and enjoy the view and the breeze, outdoor games, and a nice big yard to enjoy hours outside.
Beautiful home. Beds were super comfortable. The host was more patient and accommodating than anywhere else I’ve stayed. We had an issue and he drove 3.5 hours on the holiday to help. Bathrooms well stocked. Kitchen was VERY well stocked. View was beautiful. The new wall window with sliding door in the main family room was spectacular. Perfect location. More than ample parking. High end appliances. Definitely would recommend.

Thank you so much for the sweet review Kelly. It was touching to read your kind words and I also really appreciate your grace and kindness. I’d be happy to host you all any time. Safe travels and hope to see you again!
We had previously stayed here when it was 'Potomac View,' and while we loved it then, the transformation into 'The Pearl' is amazing. The owners have managed to keep the historic charm while providing a fully updated and comfortable experience. The location remains unbeatable and the wraparound porch with the waterfront view over the Potomac is still the best in Colonial Beach. The interior updates are impressive. The removal of the wall between the kitchen and living room opens up the whole space. We especially appreciated the new central HVAC (no more window units!) and the fast Wi-Fi.The kitchen is stocked with high-end cookware (Cuisinart/Chicago Cutlery) and appliances like the induction range and wine fridge that made cooking easy for our large group. Being able to seat all 10 of us at the new dining table with the crystal chandelier felt very special. The kids also had a great stay. The 'kids nook' was a thoughtful touch and we loved using the new bikes to explore and the cornhole boards in the yard.It is rare to find a 150-year-old home that feels this fresh, warm and comfortable. We are so glad the new owners preserved the heart of this home while making it better than ever! Will be back!
