Property is wonderful. Clean, comfortable. We felt right at home. Property manager was very easy to contact, and very helpful with any questions we may have had. I would highly recommend this property; it is one of the best ones we have stayed at.
Quiet neighborhood close to the lighthouse and a short drive to Camden and Rockland. Well equipped kitchen. Lots of towels and bath amenities. Large bedrooms with comfy beds.
Great location for what we were going for. Weather could have been better, but our foursome made the most of it. Very well stocked with any and all supplies one could hope for. Highly recommended.
This comfortable home is in a quiet neighborhood and has just about everything you need. There were four of us and there is plenty of space to relax. We really enjoyed the stay.

Owls Head, Maine Home
Wonderful time in Maine as always, but this home made our visit even more enjoyable. The owners thought of everything and we'll definitely be back.
This home had every convenience we needed for our 3 generation family trip and a wonderful central location to many places in Maine. It was nice to know the owners were helpful and responsive to all inquiries plus a nice book of suggestions of what to do and where to eat at the house.

The house was clean, well stocked and had many added extras that worked out well for anyone traveling. The beds were comfortable and the home and neighborhood were very welcoming, with grocery store etc. nearby. Would stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone.

From the owner: "Thank you for the great review, Janet. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in our home!"
Very nice home, one of the nicest we’ve stayed in while visiting in Maine. It was perfect for our visit, lots of nice touches to make you feel at home! No deposit was a great plus! Great instructions and helpful contact person. Beds comfy, very clean, great kitchen cooked all our meals, great sights close by. We Hope to come again!
Lovely house in a great location. Spacious and comfortable, well stocked with household essentials. Wonderful beds and linens. Great communication. We can't wait to rent again! The Webster's, Upstate NY
The house was excellent. Everything was so clean. While it was a short trip for us, the house had everything we needed. If you plan on making more meals at the house the kitchen was very well stocked. Easy to talk to the property manager if needed. If we’re back in the area would definitely rent this place again.
Super clean and well laid out house close to Rockland. Cycling loops in the area on Maine Bicycle Coalition website are sweet and this was a perfect spot to launch from. Even a sitting area in the garage which was a nice place to land post ride.
Clean house. House was well stocked with towels and toiletries. Kitchen was well stocked with snacks, but they were expired. We did not care for the location. There are two bedrooms upstairs which was difficult for ladies in their late 70’s; however, the pictures showed the stairs and we did not notice them. I would suggest they point this out in their advertising. Overall, once we were settled in, we enjoyed our stay. Both the host and the owner were pleasant and helpful.

From the owner: "I appreciate your kind words about the home’s cleanliness and how well it’s stocked with towels and toiletries. I’m sorry to hear the stairs and location weren’t quite what you were looking for, though I’m glad you still enjoyed your stay once settled in. The home’s listing does note the staircase and bedroom layout to help guests plan for comfort before arrival. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. It’s always helpful as we continue ensuring a positive experience for every guest."
Relax at Owls Head for your coastal Maine adventures.
Owls Head Retreat is a perfect location to explore coastal Maine. This home is in a lovely quiet neighborhood, beautifully decorated, emaculatly clean and well supplied to relax and enjoy our stay. There was more than adequate kitchen, bathroom and laundry supplies. We did appreciate the entry at the garage which made hauling in our goods very easy. Each bedroom had plenty of space and it's own heating, making sleeping extra comfortable. Night lights through the house were much appreciated. The instructions left for our stay and check out instructions were quite clear. Both the manager and owner were responsive to our questions.
For added fun visit The Owls Head General Store for coffee, food and gifts. And, if you are fortunate enough to have a forecast for the Northern Lights we found Crocket Point an excellent location for viewing.
We whole heartedly recommend this Owls Head Retreat for your Maine adventures. Until our next visit - Cheers.

The quiet setting was perfect and restful. The location near Rockland was very convenient for the day trips to Camden, Acadia National Park, and the Maine Coastal Gardens. The house allowed us to have separate bedrooms and baths, which was important for us. The home is comfortable and well cared for.Sue, the property manager, responded immediately to our inquiries and to a glitch with the cable TV. She was kind and excellent to work with.
