Beautiful home on the Gastineau channel with the tide rising and falling and eagles flying in for salmon run. Loved the large rooms, great windows, and Paula was responsive to our questions and needs. Very close to town and to all attractions. Everyone had their space. Highly recommend this home

Fishing trip in Juneau
Had a great stay in Juneau. House is spacious and Kitchen is huge. View of the water was great after a day of fishing. Location cannot be beat. Can't wait to come back.
This lovely house needs,Shampoo and conditioner and bath soaking each bath.A first aid kitA step stool to get into the bed in the master bedroom, I had to borrow one fro a friend who lives in Juneau
This houses location was AMAZING! The house fit our family perfectly and we loved the views! I marked it with four stars only because we did not feel like this house was particularly kid friendly. Some feedback would be to have light blocking curtains in all of the bedrooms, since it stays light so much later. The house was decorated beautifully but we were constantly worried the entire time we were there about protecting all of the glass and fragile decor with two five years old and a three year old in tow.
We spent most our time at Eagle Crest skiing and boarding. We ate all of our breakfasts at the rental and most our dinners. Evenings were spent playing board games. We loved the house, though, there are some things that do need fixing or completing. The owner was very gracious and welcomed our input.
Huge house that comfortably handled 4 adult couples and a toddler with room to spare. Being a wintertime rental we weren't able to use the deck area, but it looked like it would have been a great place to hang out if it wasn't under 2 foot of snow. There was, however, plenty of room inside with several sitting areas and great views. Rena did a great job taking care of our needs. Would definitely consider renting again if the family ever has reason to visit Juneau again.
This house was perfect for our stay on Douglas Island. Grocery stores and restaurants are not far away. The view is fantastic from the living areas as well as most of the bedrooms. Paula was extremely nice and communicative for check in and answered any questions about the house that we had promptly. The house is massive, the beds comfortable, and there were many expendables, but there are a few small details of fit/finish that are noticeable, but did not affect the overall quality of our stay. Small things like a missing transition strip or loose tile behind the kitchen sink. Again, no overall effect on our stay, just something to note for future renters. Thanks for the opportunity to rest our heads in your home.
The house is in a really nice location with an amazing view. It's an interesting house with rooms all over the place. The bedrooms are all spacious and have king beds, with the exception of one small, children's room. There are plenty of dishes and other kitchen items, but bring your own coffee and filters. The only detractor was the communication with the manager regarding check in instructions. I texted and emailed a couple of times before we arrived and didn't get a response. I did get an answer when I called after getting to Juneau and got the instructions I needed. Other than that, the process was smooth and she was very helpful when I called. I would definitely rent again if I need a place to house a bunch of people.

Broken furniture that doesn’t recline. No heat for 2.5 days with no help
We had to leave early due to no heat. Tried reaching out but no reply until we left early. We should get money back for leaving early and no heat with no response from contact person

Hello, thank you for providing your feedback. The owner wanted to share the following: We are deeply sorry for the incnvenience of having no heat during your stay. The heating oil was taken during a previous stay and there was a medical issue with the Guest Contact so they were not able to respond immediately. We appreciate your feedback as we continue to improve for our guests!

Great Views and comfy beds
I stayed there with a large group and for the most part everything was great! The good:Views, space and Beds, everyone loved the beds! The Bad:The Refrigerators ice machine, frozen solid, no fresh ice, there was a pan of ice in the freezer. It’s a Samsung, garbage, common knowledge.NO hand soap, no extra toilet paper, (we had to buy) some of the tvs didn’t work-no remotes or power cords. The obscure:Lots and lots and lots of cabinets! Tons of dishes, everywhere, a lot of it unusable, if you stay there you will understand.Lacked basic amenities which most other rental properties I’ve stayed at provide - Heat! There were space heaters but thankfully outside temps were warm enough it didn’t really matter. Personal sized toiletries, coffee.Overall it met our needs, we just had to make a few extra trips to Fred Meyer/Foodland.
I normally don't leave a review, but this time I had to. It started three weeks prior to checking in. I left e-mails, and voicemails for the property manager to let her know that our flight would not be arriving till late on the day of check-in and was wondering if there was anything we needed to do. We heard nothing from her and was getting worried, so one week before, we called evolve and they said they would take care of it. We still heard nothing, so on the way to airport, we called property manager and got answering machine AGAIN, so we called evolve AGAIN and they immediately 3-wayed the phone call. Surprisingly, the property manager answered right away. She told us the check-in procedure for late check-in and joked that she received a ding ding ding at 1 AM in the morning from an email and that did I realize the time change there. I never sent her an email that early in the morning and if I did, why wouldn't she have the courtesy to answer me back even at a later time. I NEVER heard from her at all, except when evolve 3-wayed us. The property was beautiful, except for the decor, which every ones taste is different. We did have an issue with the heater at the house, which thankfully there were floor heaters in every room, which we used. Yes, the views at this property were amazing, so that made up for any issues we had with the property manager.

Bring your own TP! The location is beautiful with great views. The house is older and in the process of being renovated. There are a lot of glass wear in the house, china cabinets and decorative pieces. If you have children you will need to be very mindful not to break anything. We got there with a larger group and had been told that no extra TP would be provided. This was a first for us, there is at least a few extra rolls provided at other vbro houses we rented.
The property's location was really ideal for a visit to Juneau. It's a short drive to downtown Juneau (approximately 10 minutes) and has really amazing views of the Gastineau channel/surrounding mountains. We are a family of 5 with kids ranging from 7 to 15 years old and the home had plenty of space for us to spread out. And being a family that hikes we had a bunch of gear due to Juneau's propensity for rainy conditions so the extra space came in handy. The property owners were very kind and accommodating. We had a great visit.
This property has a wonderful view and outdoor space. We were able to view eagles flying around and feeding, fish jumping, and even a seal playing in the water. Access to the water was a plus. The kitchen and living area were very spacious and great for bigger groups. The master bedroom was awesome! The property owners were very kind and welcoming.
This is a beautiful house that has been just updated. There were 3 couples and we all had our own bathroom and lots of areas to spread out. We really enjoyed the fire pits. One on the patio and one down by the water. The house had everything we needed.

Wonderful getaway
We had 3 couples celebrating their anniversaries in this beautiful house. The owner has done a lot of work to renovate the house. It looks beautiful! It is very spacious. Each couple had their own bathroom. The outside is great with 2 fire pits and lots of areas to relax to enjoy the beautiful view . Thanks for making our vacation so relaxing.
Nothing luxury about this property accept for the view.
The owners made us wait for 1/2 hour fir them to come and open the door. Then they had issues with not having yw right key. That was odd. Finally got in. Place was big. Bedrooms are all downstairs
There’s a horrible smell from the master. It was so bad we had to move to another room in the middle if the night. Smells like something died.
It rained the entire time so we didn’t get to use the porch or the BBQ grills.
Other than that it was ok.

Hi Glen, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We're sorry for the issue with when the meet up for keys was. Since you arrived early, I came over as quickly as possible. Once I got there, it took 2 minutes to figure out and let you in.
- Unfortunately, one of the negative sides of the Alaskan experience and the time of year that you came is the salmon spawning season. The side of the house next to a creek during late July and August has the potential to have spawned out salmon. Additionally, bears will pull fish from the creek and leave carcasses in conspicuous places. If the windows and doors are left open, it will in fact smell like dead fish.
- If we were to hear that you were unhappy we would have done what we could to assist. I always want our guests to have a positive experience and am disappointed that I was not given a chance to rectify the situation while you were in residence.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
