My wife and I were in town to hike for the weekend. We loved being so close to the A.T. and to all the shops in Town, especially the The Emporium, a shop that has a little bit of everything!!
Everything about our stay was great. The place is exactly as it is posted. It was extremely clean. It’s a great location for hiking. The owners quickly responded whenever we had questions. It was the perfect place!

Very clean and comfortable. It was much further from White Sulfur Springs than what Travelocity indicated; actually 43 miles versus 21 miles.
A great price for a darling, exceptionally well-equipped apartment in a sweet, friendly town. Everything is there for a comfortable stay, including a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, toaster oven, nice-sized fridge, dishes, silverware, and utensils. Immaculately clean and quiet. We went to Bibo's and the pizza is as good as advertised. We've already recommended this flat to friends!
I was in town for a new job and found this cute little apartment. Very clean. The whole process has been flawless. Jesse & Rachael have been very accommodating to my needs. Whenever I had a question, they got right back to me. It is a small town surrounded by lots of history. Plenty of beautiful places to explore. Everyone that I encountered was very polite and helpful. Overall pleasant experience. I would definitely stay again!
Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The one negative would be that the walls are very thin, and you can hear conversations in the next apartment (even at normal tone).
On the positive end, the place was very clean and the owners were quick to respond.
The second story apartment in an old storefront type building on the main street in New Castle is a cozy spot. The location worked perfectly for accessing events in the region. Clean, and with the ability to regulate the temperature well, the apartment allows you to sleep well. The internet was a little slow, but the TV worked. I would definitely stay there again.
I came to the area to hike the three trails of the Virginia Triple Crown with two friends. We were gone most of the day so just needed a place to sleep. The location could not have been better. We were able to get to the trailheads early to insure a parking spot.
Very nice place to stay, and a quiet, quaint town.

Super clean, quiet, relaxing, and great location for hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains!
Friendly and helpful! That’s what you get from the property owner, Jesse, and the Emporium owner, Philip, in the shop down stairs. Check-in and check-out were very simple and the apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures...updated and very clean (for which my wife was very pleased). The shower was amazing! Which was great following each days hiking adventures. Deluxe, all natural toiletries made the relaxation of the shower even better. The bed was very comfortable and window AC unit was more than capable of cooling the entire space. Small efficiency kitchen was perfect for morning coffee, cleaning produce, and keeping food/beverages for the trails cold overnight.
With a great, local restaurant next door, Hutch on Main, a hot and delicious breakfast was easy to grab and go! (Gravy over biscuits and their pancakes are musts!)
Jesse informed of us some great local restaurants that are “musts” for people visiting the area and his recommendations didn’t disappoint! The Swinging Bridge and Home Place provide generous portions, fair prices, and great food!
Finally, be sure to spend some time in the Emporium. They have a little bit of everything....from throwback candies to local craft beers, locally made hand soaps to small book store and everything in between! Philip is very knowledgeable and welcoming.
