Bailey Island stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a wonderful place just as advertised. There was plenty of room for all 6 adults and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive with any questions we had. The star gazing was amazing.

We had an amazing time at this house on Bailey Island! It was our first trip to Maine and we did not want to leave. The location is beautiful, there is a small public beach down a dirt street that my kids loved playing at and watching the massive tide shifts each day. We explored a large chunk of Maine the first day driving up to Bangor and all around the state on a Steven King self tour my wife put together (mostly pet cemetery locations). The house is really nice with views of the water from most rooms. We also loved the upstairs patio to look at the stars each night. My wife got some really great pictures of the Milky Way and videos of the meteor shower that happened to be going on while we were there. Top Tip, there are no real grocery stores on the island, BUT Walmart will deliver from 30 minutes away! We went hungry the first night because we got there and didn't come prepared with anything to eat expecting a store or restaurant would be open. Everything closes between 7 & 8 PM... Its worth getting a temporary Walmart account and just have food delivered if you don't already have one. Will return when we can and I hope this house is available when we do!
