Canal Front Hideaway - 3 Bedroom 2 bath House with overnight boat docking

Welcome to Turtle Harbor Lakehouse!! A place for family and friends to gather and escape the normal stresses of life. Located on a canal off of Burt Lake in Indian River, this house is a dream for guests seeking a relaxing getaway or a day full of activities including boating, kayaking, hiking, ATV riding or sightseeing.

During the summer, enjoy access to all of the rivers and lakes connected within Michigan's beautiful in-land waterway right from your doorstep or take a short drive in the car to one of the area's many attractions including Mackinaw City (only 25 minutes). This property includes approximately 50 feet of sea wall access available for overnight docking of your boat, kayak or PWC for your entire stay. The canal is located on a beautiful, clear sandy bottomed bay that is excellent for anchoring off your boat for a day of swimming.

If you don't have a boat you can fish from the boardwalk or walk to the shared lakefront lot at the end of the street for swimming.

In the fall, enjoy the colorful leaves, drive through the tunnel of trees or visit one of the local cider mills.

Any time of year, you can enjoy barbecuing and sharing meals out on the deck while watching the local wildlife. Catch fish or watch the birds and spot the turtles from the large deck or private boardwalk before enjoying a famous Burt lake sunset!

With three bedrooms featuring a queen bed, a full bed, and 4 twin beds, a spacious family room and large well-equipped kitchen, there’s plenty of space for family or friends to unwind. Each bedroom includes a TV with Roku for streaming your favorite apps using your accounts. The two bathrooms both include showers, making it easy to freshen up and unwind after a day of exploring

Guests enjoy a fantastic blend of comfort and convenience throughout the home. Whether you’re gathering in the living room area or resting in the comfortable bedrooms, this marvelous house provides a welcoming retreat. We're happy to assist with any questions during your stay.

Host was very responsive and friendly! The house was very clean and in a great location. The house was also generously stocked with everything we needed. We did not bring our boat on this trip but would likely return due to protected channel for boat storage. We had a great family trip up north this week!

I grew up in southern Michigan. Every summer, I would come up north and stay at a lakefront cottage or camp with my family. These memories helped shape me as a person and my goal was to pass on these similar experiences to my children. Turtle Harbor Lakehouse has been the perfect place to do that! With the blend of a clean, comfortable house and the outdoor amenities that I loved with camping, such-as a campfire pit, charcoal barbecue and lots of outdoor seating we have created the perfect northern Michigan getaway.

Turtle Harbor Lakehouse is a place where my family and I have been coming for years to make great year-round memories. Now, we would love to give others the same opportunity to have the same experience and create their own memories of northern Michigan lake life.

Why they chose this property

Plymouth Beach Association is a quiet neighborhood well located on a canal within beautiful Sturgeon Bay in Burt Lake. It is centrally located in the 'tip of the mit' area, 25 minutes south of Mackainaw City, 30 minutes east of Petoskey, 30 minutes North of Gaylord, 30 minutes east of Cheboygan. Every day of the week there is a new place to explore by car or by boat!!
