About this property

AMAZING VIEWS! Our new 2-story cabin retreat, overlooks stunning, protected bay.

Our two-story cabin was built in 2024 on a private peninsula, on eight forested acres having 500' of frontage on Straight Bay. Our "artist appointed" cabin overlooks the bay with its tidal islands and surrounding protected forests. Our property is a unique opportunity for birdwatchers, or anyone seeking to relax in a quiet, natural setting. Enjoy spectacular views from the comfort inside the cabin, or from either of two decks outside. Go down and sit on the rocks at waters' edge. Use our trails to explore our ancient forest. Or climb several 50-60 foot high rocky outcroppings. But bring your hiking shoes!

Lubec is also home to “Cobscook Shores”, a series of 20 parklands with trails along the Maine coastline to keep you hiking every day. The quaint town of Lubec is 15 minutes away where you can find harbor-side dining or take a whale-watching excursion. If you prefer to eat in, there are grocery stores minutes away and you can prepare your meals in our fully-equipped cabin kitchen and on the propane grill.

If you have not visited Maine before, you will appreciate the cool evenings even on hot summer days. (We often get that comment from guests.) And our northerly latitude virtually guarantees amazing sunsets. Star-gazing the southern sky is another guest favorite. We provide a pair of high-resolution binoculars, and can provide a telescope on request for a serious start-gazing enthusiast.

We hope you will enjoy your stay at our cabin, equipped with things to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We know you’ll love it as much as we do!

A note on booking our property:
We try to manage our unique cabin property ourselves. We often travel from a distance between each guest. For this reason, we have established a manageable booking schedule. Check-in is only available on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Check-out is only available on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The minimum stay is 4-nights. It is possible to stay over a weekend with a minimum stay of 9-nights or longer. We will be happy to clarify any scheduling issues, just send us a message. Thank you.
