As native Montanans, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at Hughes cabin for Mother's day weekend. A spectacular and peaceful place. Outstanding property-the lake has and always will be a special place for our family. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you.

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hughes Hideaway! The lake and mountain views are truly incredible, the kind you never get tired of waking up to. The cabin itself is so cozy with beautiful, high quality furniture that makes it feel both comfortable and elevated. The beds were super comfy which made it easy to fully relax. One of our favorite touches was the fully stocked shed with lake toys, such a fun bonus and perfect for enjoying the water. The host was incredibly responsive and even left a thoughtful welcome gift, which made the stay feel extra special. It’s just a quick 5 minute drive to downtown Lakeside, but still feels completely private and peaceful. The perfect mix of convenience and seclusion. We can’t recommend Hughes Hideaway enough and will absolutely be back!"

Loved this property! The drawbacks are the stairs to the lake and the 3rd bedroom is tiny with only kids bunks. The deck was large and welcoming, the house had updated appliances (except no oven but they do supply a toaster oven thing that worked for our baking needs) and beautiful island! They had a cappuccino maker built in however we had no idea how to use it. Views we're amazing! If we had any issues, the ladies were very responsive and quick to resolve (batteries in the keyless lock died). They supply EVERYTHING! Including a salad spinner! Shampoo, conditioner, body wash was also supplied. Fire pit WITH roasting forks!!They had lake toys and life jackets that my grandson loved toting us around on. 7 min to Lakeside, which made it very convenient. Parked our motorhome up top and there was still ample parking for our guests below. Everyone loved the place. I would definitely go back.

To start there is no oven. There is an air fryer but not big enough for a pizza.the smell of septic was bad. The hose told us there was a bit of water damage in one bedroom that was repaired by a plumbing and should dry up. Well it got worse and they had to come back but the smell of mold was horrible and my guest clothing was smelling like mold. The ceiling tiles were falling out in 3 of the rooms.we have stayed in many homes on the lake and have never had one this bad.

Thank you for your feedback, Karen. We’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. Prior to your arrival, a shower valve in the cleaner’s closet developed a leak, which caused the carpet in that closet to become damp. As soon as you notified us of an odor, we immediately sent our handyman to the property. The carpet in the closet was removed that same day to resolve the issue. There was no mold present, and the odor was caused by the damp carpet from the plumbing leak. Regarding the septic odor, the home is equipped with a grinder pump, and there can occasionally be a brief odor when the pump cycles. This is not a constant issue, and the septic system has been professionally serviced to ensure it is functioning properly. Our listing also clearly states that the home does not have a traditional oven. Instead, we provide a large countertop convection toaster oven, microwave, and air fryer. Lastly, the glue on a few ceiling tiles had come undone slightly, causing the edges to lift. None of the tiles fell. We offered to repair them during your stay, but at your request waited until after your departure. We responded promptly to every concern that was brought to our attention and did our best to make your stay comfortable. While we are disappointed we could not provide the experience you were hoping for, we appreciate your feedback and wish you the best.
