Welcome to your dream getaway in Tahoe City, CA where comfort, style, convenience and breathtaking scenery come together. Thoughtfully updated and lovingly maintained, the home features a well-stocked chef’s kitchen—perfect for home-cooked meals and entertaining—along with stunning views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra mountains from both lake-view decks and the cozy living and dining areas. Grand picture windows and exposed wooden beams create a warm, classic Tahoe atmosphere.
Designed with families and groups in mind, the home offers two spacious living rooms for relaxing or gathering, a large dining table overlooking the lake and a backgammon table and other games for easy, unplugged fun. Enjoy meals indoors or outside on either of the two decks while taking in the alpine views.

This property has been in our family for nearly 50 years. Although it is rentable for a few select weeks per year we do not think of this as a rental property. We consider this our home away from home and we hope that while you are here you will enjoy and care for it as you would your own home.

My family and I head up to Tahoe a couple times a year and rent through VRBO. This was by far one of the best stays we have had! It’s like they thought of everything—the furniture, linens, towels, and kitchen/baths are all top notch and plush. Plenty of room to spread out with two porches, two living areas, and all bedrooms downstairs. We loved drinking coffee in the morning overlooking the lake!The neighborhood is quiet with wide streets great for slow family bike rides. It’s a very short drive to Tahoe City for access to restaurants and stores, but far enough that this area of Tahoe doesn’t feel busy. 7-11 is right down the street which is super convenient for any last minute items. Also, don’t miss Dollar Creek Trailhead directly across the street from the entrance to the community. It’s a mixture of paved pathway and dirt trails so it’s good for mix for any kind of bike and kids or adults.We would definitely book this property again! Thanks for the great memories!

The house is incredible, more than we even expected. Had coffee on the deck overlooking the lake every morning, and dinners in the evening! Big windows across the whole front of the home give lake views in every room . Bedrooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Close to town and great restaurants, and even walking trails! From check in to check out the host was communicative and helpful. They clearly curated this home for the perfect getaway.

My family and extended family have lived in the Bay Area since 1968. Since that time we have enjoyed making memories together around the lake in the Sierras or playing games in our home. Every season in Tahoe is our favorite season.
Why they chose this property
Dollar Point offers a little of everything. While situated in a quiet neighborhood with 100 year old pine trees and expansive lake views it also offers close proximity to trails, shops, restaurants, skiing and free beaches. Within a five to ten minute drive there is something for everyone or just enjoy a walk around the neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
