Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Views were stellar. Jeff came and greeted us and he was so helpful with recommendations for hikes. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
This was the perfect home base for our week in Yosemite! The cabin was very clean and Jeff’s directions to find the property were so helpful. This is a great spot to escape the crowds in the valley, yet still be close to all of the best viewpoints and hikes! We enjoyed cooking dinners in the kitchen and using the fireplace on chilly nights (yes, even in late May!). We would love to return one day.
One word..perfect. Perfect rental, perfect location, perfect vacation. Owners were beyond responsive and very friendly. We would rate this as an 11 out of 10.
Great location to all there is to see in Yosemite. Loved the open views, note if light bothers you early am, bring eye coverings, very bright as no curtains which helped us get an early start! Grilled many nights which was a great amenity as we ate in every night. The deck was awesome for night cocktails and morning coffee. Note as others said, many stairs to get to unit but once in WOW!!! Worth every step!
Our stay at The Hideaway in Yosemite West somehow exceeded even the incredible reviews. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, beautifully maintained, and had everything we could have wanted for a perfect getaway 5/14-5/18.Located on Buck Brush Ln — it lives up to its name, as we saw deer around the property daily. It felt peaceful and private while being an ideal home base for exploring Yosemite. The spa tub was perfect after the trails, and the heated bathroom floors were an unexpected bonus. The kitchen was well stocked, including a gas grill on the balcony.Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable Yosemite stay.
This is the cleanest and most comfy cottage, perfect for our 50th anniversary visit to Yosemite. The covered balcony in the back was a great place to see wild life as we ate some of our meals. The bed was super comfortable (and we are quite picky in that area). Kitchen is well equipped. Absolutely beautiful sunsets. The cottage is in the park but away from the hustle and bustle of the valley. You know how pictures can be deceiving - not here. What you see in the posting of this house is what you get. We loved the deep tub after hiking … helped the sore muscles. We misunderstood some of the info concerning amenities and our host, Jeff, graciously worked with us on that. We loved our stay! Thank you, Jeff and Melissa, for sharing your cottage with us.
This spot was the perfect little solo getaway cabin for a long weekend in Yosemite. The cabin was clean, the view off the back deck beautiful, and the host communicative! I'm already plotting for when I can come back. I will note that there are a lot of stairs to get down to the cottage, so come prepared. Think of it as warm up for any of your hikes in the valley.
Beautiful cottage with an amazing view! You can't beat the location for visiting Yosemite. Jeff is a wonderful host and the cottage is well appointed, luxurious and very comfortable. We highly recommend it! Do take note that the listing mentions stairs down to the cottage. There are quite a few and not suitable for anyone with mobility or health issues.
Had an excellent stay. The view is stunning, the bed is comfortable. Our host was very responsive when we had questions even on Thanksgiving day (thank you!). Its good to note theres a large amount of steps to get down to the property so be prepared to tackle that obstacle- but once inside its really nice!
Everything was great. The cabin in exceptional! I wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful cottage and incredible hosts. Everything well appointed and thoughtful. From the kind welcome note to the personal recommendations. We felt right at home!
We had a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful and in beautiful surroundings. Jeff was helpful with assisting us with a couple things while we stayed. The house had everything we needed for our trip and we felt right at home!
The cottage is in a wonderful location at the Park’s western boundary. The view is amazing, the cottage is very well stocked and comfortable. The hosts communicate very well, which made check-in a breeze. Don’t hesitate to book it, you’ll be glad you did!
Amazing location in the park. Everything was excellent. Will absolutely be the first place I look next visit to Yosemite.
