Beautiful 4-bedroom cabin in Gouldsboro for a getaway overlooking Jones Pond

Your Gouldsboro adventure begins at this 4-bedroom cabin. Inside, guests find three queen beds and a cozy twin bed loft room, perfect for a restful night. The cabin also features a nice living room offering extra space to unwind. With one bathroom, it’s a simple and comfortable retreat. It's only a 15 minute drive to Schoodic Point part of Acadia National Park. You can also ride the local ferry from Winter Harbor over to Bar Harbor and avoid the headache of parking in downtown Bar Harbor. Marvelous for families or friends, this cabin invites guests to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay right on the water. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Gouldsboro and our cabin has to offer. The water isn't great for swimming in this cove, as the water is only about 3.5 feet deep, but it's fabulous for kayaking, canoeing and fishing. A canoe and two kayaks are provided and there are islands you can paddle to and swim off the rocks not too far away.

Peaceful, quiet cabin near Acadia National Park with very easy access to the Schoodic Peninsula side of the park. Beds were comfortable and the property was well appointed. Loved the pond view and wildlife we saw from the front porch and dock.

We loved this place. The rustic cabin had all the lake-house charm. The bedrooms were just right for our large family. This kids loved the beds in the loft. It was much bigger than a typical loft- tall enough for an adult to stand up and plenty of room for kids to play. The highlight for us was taking the canoes and kayak out on the lake. It's called a "pond" but actually its a good-sized lake with islands, beavers, and bald eagles. Beautiful location. Also, the proximity to Acadia National Park and Schoodic National Forest areas let us have the adventure we wanted. The hosts were very helpful, and there were great restaurants just a few minutes away.

This place is magical. Tucked back in the woods on Jones pond it feels very secluded. The cabin is very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans. This is a fisherman's paradise. We caught several chain pickerel and perch from the dock and there is several canoes and kayaks on the property to venture out onto the lake to try to catch brown trout, rainbows and small mouth bass. Salt water fishing is 20 minutes away and we were able to catch mackerel and Pollock at Frasier point. Acadia and bar harbor is about 55 minutes away but you can find great sea food and great views, beautiful hikes and rocky beaches 20 minutes away on the schoodic peninsula without the huge crowds and traffic.

My husband and I live in Brunswick Maine and enjoy this cabin when we can. We have a small nonprofit food bank farm at our home in Brunswick which keeps us busy so we do not get up to Gouldsboro as much as we would like.
