The cabin is part of the charming and popular Kingfisher Cove lakefront cottage community. The home shares 200 feet of pristine Goshorn Lake frontage, 17 acres of woods, an association pool, boardwalks, nature trails and Lake Michigan breezes.

This cabin is perfect in every way; a romantic hideaway for a weekend getaway, a family vacation with the kids, or with a group of friends; you will be delighted with this fantastic cabin. You will find a cozy, warm and down to earth place - with the little luxuries and amenities that make your vacation complete, memorable and fun!
The cabin has everything you need to feel comfortable and pampered during your stay with us.

The kitchen is fully stocked for family meals or for entertaining. It features premium counter tops, stainless appliances, coffee maker, ice maker and so much more! Dine inside in the dining room, outside in the screened in patio or in the back yard at the picnic table. The indoor dining area features seating for eight -- great for meals as well as board games of which there is a great selection in the house. There is also two booster seats and a high chair for the little ones. Located just off the kitchen is a laundry room with washer and dryer for your convenience.

The great room has an enormous remote control gas fireplace perfect for winter get away or cool summer nights. The cabin also has two TV’s with basic cable, two DVD players, Apple TV and a 5G secure wireless internet connection keep you connected to the outside world … if you can break away from the fun.
There unlimited access to the heated association pool (seasonally available), which is located a very short walk away! Goshorn Lake is just a few steps farther down the boardwalk where you can cast a line or row your kayak in peace and quiet. Bring the bikes to take the new bike path into Saugatuck. Bring plenty of food so you can grill out in the back yard or go to any number of great restaurants nearby.

The whole cabin vibe from the fireplace to the wood plank walls, soft lighting and cozy furniture were absolutely perfect. The cabin was clean upon arrival. Robert hails from the hill country of TX ... New Braunfels, TX to be exact whereas Brian was born and raised in Palos Heights, IL, south of Chicago. We have been together for 16 years, married and have three children ages 6.7 and 10 (the picture here is a bit old :)). The children keep us VERY busy with school, activities and the general drama that three little ones create everyday. However, we wouldn't change a thing; its perfect level of crazy. We currently live in Oak Park, IL with our two dogs, Stella and Sam, cat Tucker and one fish, Hawk.

Why they chose this property

We have traveled to Saugatuck every year both before and after having children. It was the perfect getaway for a relaxing week and, now with three kids, has so much to do for families. Our children love the beach, dune ride, duck boat and the numerous ice cream shops. In the winter, sledding on the dunes is a huge hit as well as the nearby ski resorts (not huge but great for a day trip). We began coming up more often every year as there was activities in all four seasons. We always rented homes so the kids could run around and we could make some meals at home. But renting every time we came up was getting expensive and since the town has become a home away from home it made sense to buy a place here.

What makes this property unique

As soon as we walked into this home, we knew it was perfect for us. It has the perfect vacation home look and feel making it seem we are far further from Chicago than the 2 hours it takes us to get there. We loved the group of homes so they kids can walk/explore and we don't have to worry about cars. The Association pool is perfect for cooler/windy days at the beach or a swim after the beach. Jumping off the pier and swimming/playing on rafts in the lake is also great. We also loved the ability to ride bikes, off road, into town. Unique to the property versus all the other homes in the association is the large front yard and private back yard with a large, comfortable fire pit
