So convenient!

We were in St. Louis for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This apartment is amazingly clean and convenient to all the things we came for. The restaurants in the area were delicious and Mike made several very good recommendations. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Location and Apartment

We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely book here again when we come back to St Louis! The apartment had all the necessities and it was super clean. The location near the Botanical Garden and Tower Grove Park is great for a run or walk. World Fair Donut Shop is walking distance-- our daughter loved that! Overall this is a convenient location to drive to all the sights.

Great Place! Nice Location! Good Communication With Owner

This is our second time staying at this property and we were very happy with our stay (again). Mike communicates everything you need to know up front. The apartment is clean, neat, and comfortable. The location is very convenient for us as we visit family and the neighborhood is very nice. Also, parking is easy. Thanks again. We will very likely stay here again next time we visit!

Centrally located

Mikes property is very well located! You can get anywhere in the city very easily! Mike is very attentive and check in was easy. The only complaints were that the unit smells of cigarette smoke and the kitchen layout is a bit challenging due to the placement of the refrigerator.

Memorial Day Trip

We had such a wonderful time. Thank you for opening your home to us. There was plenty of room for my family (husband and kids ages 6, 3). This is by far one of the cleanest properties that we have stayed in. The location was perfect. It is close to everything. We never had trouble finding a parking spot. The beds were comfortable. The linens were all fresh and clean. My only suggestion for the house would be to put those little felt pads on the bottom of the chairs in the dining room. They were a little noisy on the floor, and I would hate to see the tile scratched. We loved Grant's Farm and the Magic House. The kids loved going to Fitz Root Beer and PI Pizza. Thanks again for a great stay.

Right Price, Location and just what we needed

This apartment is in excellent location. is just behind botanical gardens and just a cpl blocks form The Hill. Can walk or ride a bike to many local poplar areas including parks, restaurants and shopping. The owner lives just downstairs, so easy access if any problems arise but we didn't have any. He even stopped by once with a few extra handy items for the unit that previous guest had requested or suggested (some I thought were asking a bit much but he got them anyway) I traveled with a friend and she took bedroom and I took the daybed and we were both comfortable. Love the charm of an old historic building Great water pressure, nice decor, Comfortable and accommodating. WE WILL BE BACK, THANK YOU MIKE FOR A GREAT STAY .. BET IT WILL BEAUTIFUL IN THE SPRING!! TIP: This is an upstairs apartment in an almost 100 year old Brownstone so you have to expect that somethings had to be accommodated for. There are very steep stairs up to the apartment 2 flights, this unit is on second floor and bathrooms are a bit cramped very little room between edge of tub and toilet so this is not unfortunately and ideal setup for anyone disabled or elderly. there is one unit on bottom floor but it has about 5 stairs up to it as well and still the small bathroom.

Quiet Gem

Stayed several days. Quiet neighborhood. Street parking, but was able to park right out front each day. Apartment had been recently updated - new furniture, curtains, towels, etc. Roku TV, cable, etc. reasonably priced - would stay here again.

Excellent location, fabulous property manager

This apartment was in the perfect location to visit our kids in Tower Grove. Lovely, quiet and quaint neighborhood, close to fabulous food, cute shops and Tower Grove Park. The property manager immediately addressed some concerns we had and made sure we were taken care of. The furnace wasn't working when we checked in on a very cold evening, he arrived within minutes and bought some space heaters that warmed the apartment perfectly. For this price in this neighborhood, we highly recommend this property. If you don't need a fancy, well-appointed hotel room and prefer quaintly rough-around-the-edges, this is your place!

Good location to great sights!

Super close to the botanical gardens, the zoo, parks and other sights you have to see in St Louis. i thought the parking was going to be tough but was able to park in front and never had any issues. Also, its only about $15 Lyft to downtown. The rental was an older building and very clean inside. friendly neighborhood with folks walking their dogs around at night.

Great place, great price.

The place was awesome. I brought a youth group of 13 and rented all four apartments in this building. Each apartment was clean, had awesomely comfortable beds, and a whole lot of room. Mike was easily accessible for anything we needed. If you're in St. Louis and need a place to stay this is a great option. Great neighborhood, close to everything.

Everything You Need In a Perfect Location

This is really a terrific way to see St. Louis. We were able to walk to the Botanic Garden & the craft beer fest at Tower Grove. Drove 5 minutes to a delicious dinner on the Hill and another 10 to trek around the Central West End. The apartment was a wonderful retreat to come home to after several fun filled days.

Mike’s place did not disappoint

This property was perfect for our 4 day/3 night stay. Mike provided a book of suggestions on things to do and where to eat near his place, it was very much appreciated as we took in some of his favorite places. Would definitely recommend this property.

About the host

Host profile image
I bought this historic property in 2010 and have been working to upgrade it over the years. I was born and raised in the St. Louis area and enjoy getting out and about in the city by foot, bike and car. Most of my vacations are spent in the mountains either skiing or down-hill mountain biking. I prefer using VRBO for my vacations and have used my experiences to help shape my own. Feel free to ask me for recommendations of good local eats and key attractions on your visit.

Why they chose this property

I bought this building because it is in a quiet, safe, and historic neighborhood. The centrality of the location allows you to drive, walk or bike easily around the city.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location. The apartment is just one-block west of the Missouri Botanical Gardens and three-blocks north of Tower Grove Park. You can walk to several restaurants, shops, parks, the Missouri Botanical Gardens, grocery stores and so much more. Some of the close by neighborhoods that you can walk or bike to include: South Grand, The Hill, Tower Grove South, Shaw, Central West End & The Grove. Also, you have easy freeway access to 64/40, 70, 55 and 44.
