We feel this review was left in retaliation because we would not issue a refund, but rather immediately sent maintenance to remedy minor issues this guest cited. The guest did not have to be present and was not present, nor inconvenienced, but we did call the guest while at the unit to let them know everything was taken care of and to advise not to leave the balcony door open, as it will freeze the AC lines and was open when we arrived. In that conversation, they immediately wanted some type of refund for very minor issues that no one would normally have a problem with. These are not brand new homes and condos. Hundreds of guests per year are hosted in these vacation rentals and most of them typically need regular maintenance and upkeep. It should not be expected that one would receive a refund for something that does not inconvenience them in the slightest. The expectation should be remediation, and we did that.
