About this property
Remote | historic cabin | renovated | Fire pit.
Summary:
Step back in time at this beautifully remodeled original homestead cabin atop the Ozark Mountains. Fresh, inviting, and peaceful, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy the charm of the double-entry covered porch, cozy evenings around the firepit, stargazing, bird watching, and the seclusion of lush forest and rolling mountains. Beaver Lake frontage is just down the hill, tucked beyond the trees for added privacy.
The Space:
Escape to a beautifully remodeled homestead cabin designed for quiet moments, connection, and a touch of romance. This cozy retreat offers a peaceful setting where you can unwind together, whether you’re enjoying a slow morning, sharing a meal from the fully equipped kitchen, or relaxing by the soft glow of the electric fireplace. A comfortable king bed provides the perfect place to rest, while the living room includes a pull-out sofa best suited for children. With fast, reliable Wi-Fi, you can stay connected if needed—or simply enjoy the chance to disconnect and be present.
Located about 30 minutes from Eureka Springs and 30 minutes from Rogers, the cabin offers both seclusion and convenience. It sits on the same private estate as the War Eagle Lake House, about a half-mile walk down a narrow road, making it a perfect option for couples traveling with others who still want their own space. Designed with privacy and simplicity in mind, this cabin is ideal for two guests, with an additional guest fee for more than two, and is not pet-friendly.
Guest Access:
Guest access includes the Cabin, the surrounding yard and the fire pit. There is no direct access to the lake. You will receive self-check in instructions prior to your arrival. We are available for messaging 6am to 9pm and available 24 hours for emergencies.
The Neighborhood:
Note: This is lake front property, but there is no view of the lake from the cabin. Access to the shore line requires a hike down a rather steep hill, or a short 3/4 mile drive to the end of Cobble Ln, where there is a large public access area. Although this area is public, it is very lightly used because it is remote and relatively unknown.
There is a natural gravel boat ramp 3/4 of a mile from the house. The nearest boat rentals are located at Prairie Creek Marina - approx. 25 min drive by road. Rocky Branch Marina is the nearest full service Marina (they do not rent boats).
Getting Around:
NOTE - This house is down a 2 mile gravel road. This may be a concern if you are on a motorcycle or in a low riding sports car.

This property was beautiful and was exactly what we had in mind as far as a more isolated get away. The nearby public access to the lake was convenient and very easy to launch kayaks from. Would definitely return here. Also had the most complete kitchen out of any other place we have stayed which was very appreciated.

Thank you, Blake! We're thrilled you enjoyed the beauty and convenience of our property. It's wonderful to hear you appreciated the kitchen and found everything to your liking. We can't wait to welcome you back for another memorable stay!
My husband and I enjoyed the cabin, it is rustic and simple, all we need. The description is accurate, bring the truck! It is quiet, isolated, quaint. My only suggestion to the host is maybe provide an emergency light of some kind, while the power never stayed out during the storms on our trip, it flickered and we went looking but couldn't find anything, our phone lights would have worked in a pinch. Overall great place for our needs.

Thank you, Nina! I'm so glad you and your husband enjoyed the cabin and found it to be a great fit for your needs. I appreciate your suggestion about the emergency light and we will add that! We hope to welcome you back soon!
We absolutely adored this property. It was the perfect place to have a couple’s retreat. The area is somewhat remote but close enough to bigger towns if you want to get out and about. It was the epitome of peace and quiet. It’s been nicely remodeled and is comfortable. There is air conditioning which is a must in the summer. It’s in a beautiful area and the property is secluded. We had all of the cooking and kitchen items we needed (bring cooking oil). We brought groceries with us from home in a cooler. There’s only a small grocery store nearby. There is a gas grill if you want to cook out. We would definitely stay here again.
