Spacious, clean, and beautiful outdoor space! We spent most of our time there sitting in the awesome screened in porch. They also have a nice fire pit that was great for the evenings. Perfect spot for a relaxing, outdoor getaway.

I gave this 5 stars because the host is extremely communicative and explains everything. This property is new to renting and I think it will get better. It was clean but not over the top, the bedding is mismatch and stained, pillows were very flat and beds were okay, for the price it was worth it because the location is amazing, I would bring your own pillows. The kitchen is well stocked, very very full and had everything we needed and then some, the bathroom is small but functional. When we arrived we needed to flip breakers on for water and to get things going, Not a problem for us but something to note if you are not comfortable with doing so, the basement is musty and we did not use the lower level, the screened in porch was our favorite and where we spent most of our time. We were visiting the area for the mountain biking and had friends at the campground, we spent a lot of time over with them, the place is very peaceful and it is a rustic log cabin. Overall it was a good experience and Rob is fantastic to work with. You can tell he uses this cabin often for himself and a lot of his items are there, again nothing that bothered us.

Me and my family are from southern Lancaster county Pennsylvania. Raystown Lake has been a vacation getaway for me and my family for approximately 40 years now… We absolutely love this area. It’s like a second home to us. And I think you’ll love it too! All the stress will melt off as you enjoy the cabin and the local area… whether you’re using and enjoying the lake or The Allegrippis trails riding your bikes or just taking some hikes or walks. Make sure you stop at the “Seven Points bait and grocery store” for your basic necessities and souvenirs. It’s a real experience, and don’t forget to feed the carp down at the marina by the lake. I love sharing this little piece of heaven with people. The swimming area and snack bar is a great place to spend a summer afternoon and make sure to look up and see them many stars and constellations in the sky at night, because there’s hardly any light pollution. There’s lots of food and restaurants around the area along with ice cream stands. A great place to create memories and come back again and again. If you’re fortunate to have a boat, that’s how you really enjoy the water. You’ll find it very clean refreshing and exhilarating to go out and enjoy a boat ride or hang out in a private cove all afternoon. Please be aware that there is somewhat of a long driveway with a slope at one section to gain access to the property. An All-wheel drive or four-wheel-drive would be best.

Why they chose this property

The peace and privacy that this location provides is almost right out of a book… When you think of a cabin, this is what your mind is picturing most likely. It’s actually a cabin kit that came from Maine and was built in 1974. I hope you find it inviting and cozy and a great place to wind down and relax and create new memories for you and your family. We certainly do.

What makes this property unique

It’s not a “one of a kind” property, but it’s real close to it… I think you agree. Let me know in the comments. Feel free to text me at 717-371-4607 or call me with any questions you may have about the area or the house. Our goal is that you enjoy yourself, just please take care of it and have fun.
