4th of July weekend

Came to boat on the lake for the fourth. Have stayed here multiple times and have enjoyed the privacy and boat parking and access to trails. There was an occupied camper parked on the property as well which was different than what we had expected and would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The shower had a bit of mold, there was period blood on the floor, and the toilet was also not very clean. The smoke detectors went off if you tried to boil water, or if you left the light on in the loft for too long.

Clean, convenient, quiet

Tastefully remodeled, adequately appointed, frequented the local store about 5 minutes away. Located midway on the lake. Some confusion on the front door lock instructions, stairs to upper level can be very challenging for someone with mobility problems. Parked boat on property as permitted and enjoyed fishing and boating on the lake.

Great location for mtb

Great location to ride from to the Mtb trails! We received no wash cloths and there was apparent dog hair visible on the white bathroom door and some elsewhere but overall it met our expectations.

Cozy spot near all Raystown Lake attractions

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, accessible, as described and very close to the Alligrippis Trail parking area for fun mountain biking. We stayed here with two kids and seems like there would be room for more. We appreciated that it is pet free as my wife is highly allergic to animals. I would definitely visit again.

Allegrippis Access

We were making a quick trip to Raystown for a couple days of riding the Allegrippis Trails; The Snug fit our needs. It was an easy 1/2 mile ride to the trail head; the neighborhood was quiet; the kitchen had the essentials; and the shower had sufficient pressure and hot water. Had we been staying longer, an oven and laundry facilities would have been welcome.

Snug review

This is a great little cabin in a great location close to the bike trails, 7 Points boat launch, restaurants and stores. It's quiet, it's clean, and we'd definitely stay there again. One small thing that would have been nice is a picnic table. But again, it was a nice cabin. The grill worked great, and the fire pit was nice too.

Father’s day getaway

Convenient location extremely close to trails and Marina. We were able to easily mountain bike and hike as well as launch our boat. Love that there was enough parking for two vehicles and the boat. Home was clean and could easily sleep six people. It was nice to have a full-size fridge. The two burner stove was a bit uneven to cook with, and the Wi-Fi was spotty but other than that it was perfect. We would definitely book here again.

Comfortable stay with great access to Allegrippis Trailhead

We stayed two nights in this cute and comfy rental. Listing was just as described and photographed. We stayed with our adult son and were in the area for mountain biking the Allegrippis Trails. Trailhead was super close and access to Raystown Lake Seven Points area was a short drive away. There was plenty of room for us to relax and sleep. Super quiet neighborhood and lots of stars to see on a clear night from the porch. Nice extras were included such as tin foil and cooking staples like olive oil. We used the grill outside for cooking as well a simple meal prep in the kitchen. We'll keep on our list for future visits to the area!

Short getaway of perfection

Sheets for the futon were not provided for. There are seem to be confusion that there were four adults staying when it was booked with only three. I missed the detail that there was no stove top or oven. Good planning may do And wonderful that there was propane gas grill cooking available. Management was very flexible in communicating with me since I created an issue on being noticed with Verbo. And management company made it easy for me. Really great location

A friend and I met there and had a really nice weekend! The place was nice and cool and clean and a great location-close to the marina, beach and other local attractions. The “wifi” was a hotspot from a cell phone which was not at all reliable. And no way to watch TV without internet connection. Also the steps to the second floor were very steep. I have a bad knee so it was not easy-especially in the middle of the night. All in all it was a great place though! And a seriously beautiful trip!

clean but not what i expected

This property is close to The Lake and very clean and cute. I'm not sure if I did not read the listing as carefully as I should have as the kitchen is not a full kitchen with only an electric burner (not a stove or oven) and minimal utensils etc. I have food allergies and expected a full kitchen so a bit disappointing. Also feel they should be more clear about how step the steps to the bedrooms are as we are getting older and they were a bit challenging. But over all a nice "snug" place.

New spot - a few wrinkles to iron out but overall a terrific getaway place!

I think we were one of the first people to stay here - I mean, the glass dish in the microwave was still in bubble wrap, and the place smelled freshly finished. There were there flaws - all easily addressed, and otherwise this was a real treat to find. The three issues we had were 1: Water- there was some water intrusion at the front door after a heavy rain, and there was some water leaking out of the shower when used. Both seemed like things that pop up and get addressed with a new build like this. We send a direct message to the property owner & they'll surely fix these. 2: stairs are steep - the stairs up to the loft are pretty steep. There's a railing and all - but if you aren't expecting it, it might be a problem...mentioning this in the description would solve it. and 3: There were a couple of windows that didn't have a way to cover them. Folks who will want to have privacy and total darkness will appreciate the option to cover windows. That's it - minor stuff, all fixable. Otherwise this place was well appointed, clean, attractive, and accommodating. The internet worked fine using the provided phone as hotspot. There is a popular trailhead for accessing the Raystown Lake trails literally a 1 minute drive around the corner. Fire pit and accompanying Adirondack chairs looked great, though we didn't get to use it. Definitely would book here again.

About the host

Hosted by Aunt Susies Vacation Rentals LLC

Host profile image
Aunt Susie’s Vacation Rentals was built on a simple idea: people deserve a place that feels like home, not just somewhere to sleep.
What started as one family getaway near Raystown Lake has grown into a carefully managed collection of cabins, chalets, and lake homes throughout the region. Along the way, we learned that great stays don’t happen by accident. They happen when details matter, communication is clear, and guests know someone has their back before, during, and after their stay.
We’re a hands-on, locally based team. That means we know the roads, the seasons, the weather, and the little things that make a big difference. From professionally cleaned homes and reliable maintenance to clear instructions and fast responses, our goal is to remove stress so you can focus on enjoying your time together.
Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a family reunion, a tournament, or a week on the lake, we want your stay to be easy, comfortable, and memorable for all the right reasons.
Thanks for choosing Aunt Susie’s. We’re proud to host you and grateful you’re here.

Why they chose this property

The Story Behind Aunt Susie’s HomesAunt Susie’s was never about buying houses. It was about creating places where memories could land and stay. Susie was the kind of person who always had the door open. Family, friends, and neighbors always had a seat at the table and a place to sleep. Her home wasn’t fancy, but it was full of warmth, laughter, and people who felt welcome. When she passed, she left behind something powerful. A reminder that the best moments happen when people slow down, come together, and feel like they belong. That is how Aunt Susie’s began. We didn’t set out to buy “rental properties.” We looked for places that felt like a deep breath. Homes with porches for morning coffee, fire pits for late-night stories, quiet woods, lake views, and space for families to reconnect. Each Aunt Susie’s home is chosen because it has something special. Something peaceful. Something that makes you pause and smile. We carefully restore and upgrade every home so it feels welcoming, comfortable, and cared for. From cozy beds and clean kitchens to fireplaces, grills, and thoughtful touches, we design each space as if Susie herself were inviting you in. Because in a way, she is. When you stay at an Aunt Susie’s home, you are not just booking a place to sleep. You are stepping into a space built for rest, connection, laughter, and memories. That is why we bought these homes.
That is why we take care of them. And that is why guests come back again and again. Welcome to Aunt Susie’s. Where every stay feels like coming home.

What makes this property unique

Aunt Susie’s Vacation Rentals are nestled throughout the scenic Raystown Lake region of South-Central Pennsylvania, offering guests a peaceful retreat surrounded by mountains, forests, and water views. Our homes are thoughtfully placed to provide privacy and quiet, while still being just minutes from Raystown Lake access, marinas, hiking and biking trails, restaurants, and local attractions.
Whether you’re staying in a cozy cabin tucked into the woods, a spacious lakeview chalet, or a family-friendly home near town, every Aunt Susie’s property balances seclusion with convenience. Guests can unplug and relax, enjoy stargazing and wildlife, or head out for boating, fishing, swimming, and exploring the area’s many outdoor adventures.
With easy driving access from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, Aunt Susie’s is a favorite getaway for weekend escapes, family vacations, and longer stays—all without the crowds of major tourist destinations.
