Beautiful house up in the treetops and away from the crowds, while still being only 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the park. We very much enjoyed the views, hot tub on the deck, pool table, and unique decor. Note that the roads are pretty steep and narrow getting up to the house, but our front wheel drive Honda Pilot did fine in low gear. Do keep your car locked up, put trash in the bear proof bins, and don’t leave any food out. We saw one or more bears wandering around the neighborhood every day. We even watched as one climbed into a car through an open window at the house next door and stole a bag, as everyone tried in vain to shoo it away. They warn you to bear proof everything for a reason!
