As advertised, the location is excellent. The host gives a lot of information and a heads-up that he's in the process of renovating the property, and there's a lot of work he has planned, but honestly, the apartment itself is a charming old building with the quirks you'd expect, and he's priced it fairly for its current state and location. The rooftop deck is great, as is the front porch of the unit.Where it falls short is in the details. For example, the new espresso machine mentioned a few times in other reviews, and his welcome messaging takes a special kind of Nespresso pod you can't buy at a grocery store, so we couldn't actually use it. There were lots of little things like that (the shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles in the shower were basically empty, etc.) Nothing major, but things that keep it from being at the top level.A general note that I wish I'd known about earlier is that the unit doesn't come with parking and the street parking outside is restricted on weekends/holidays. There's an unrestricted section a little further away, but it was tough to find spots there. If you're planning to be out and about, this won't really affect you, but I would have found it helpful to know about ahead of time.
