About this property
Dog-friendly, renovated home with fireplace & amazing deck
The heart of downtown Idyllwild is not far from this two-bedroom, single-level home, beautifully situated in a quiet spot among the pines.
This is the perfect setting for unwinding, relaxing, and taking in the best of Idyllwild. The center of town is just over a mile northeast, there are dozens of excellent restaurants within a few minutes' drive, and the surrounding area is home to hiking trails, a local playground, and the scenic shores of Lake Hemet (which is stocked with rainbow trout, bluegill, and largemouth bass).
No matter how you spend your days, you'll be greeted back at home by a gorgeous deck that wraps the house. It's a wonderful place to grill in the fresh pine air, dine alfresco beneath draped string lights, and linger after sunset with dessert, coffee, or a glass of wine.
Inside, the house has been thoughtfully renovated from top to bottom, with brand-new heating and AC, pristine white walls, and warm accents of natural wood throughout. Make yourself at home beneath exposed crossbeams in the great room, where you can stream movies by the fire, set up board games in the corner nook, or get started on dinner in a kitchen with every essential appliance, an island cooktop, and bar seats for five. Of the two bedrooms, one is a primary suite with a chic private bathroom and access to the deck; the other is a cute kids' room with its own Pac-Man console.
THINGS TO KNOW Riverside County regulations prohibit any 'party' lighting (outdoor luminaires shall not blink, flash, or rotate) and will hold guests liable for any 'light trespass' on surrounding properties.

From the moment we checked in we were in awe of this beautiful home. The care that was put in every nook was so special. I loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen, sitting outside listening to the birds and squirrels while I sipped on my coffee. It also gave me so much inspiration for my own home! Also, the neighborhood was so friendly and walkable. Thank you for opening your home and I very much look forward to coming back :)
The home was very nice and cozy, absolutely recommended!

Great Get Away
Great little place. Had everything we needed to get our dogs out of town and have a relaxing 4th get away / noise free place without the 4th fireworks. Very quiet. The home had a nice fully fenced yard and large deck / patio. A/C worked great and kitchen was well stocked with the necessary plates / bowls/ utensils. We would come back for sure...

Peaceful oasis!
Very clean, beautiful decor and confortable bed! Thank you team Vacasa for a wonderful stay!
Took my wife and her 90 year old mother for thanksgiving, they had a cabin up there when they were children, Place was great and the mother-in-law loved it. Also we have a very well behaved Golden Retriever who also had a blast. Would highly recommend!

Spacious Bright Luxurious Cabin
We loved the the spacious kitchen, comfortable living room, fireplace, spacious well stocked bathrooms, overall tasteful decoration and big fenced yard for our furry family members. Location is around a beautiful view of the valley area on the road to Idyllwild.
We had a pleasant stay at this quaint cabin in Idyllwild not far from the center of town. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of games and the zip line in the front! Nice backyard especially if you have a dog. Great experience overall.
Family fun over Thanksgiving. Farther from Idyllwild town center than on listing but still walkable. Very comfortable home. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal, play games, enjoy the fire and watch Christmas movies.
At the time we stayed, there was only one oven rack, which created timing issues with Thanksgiving meal and it would have been nice to have a broom & dustpan. Overall, enjoyable stay!
Thank you!

Hi Nancy, thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback as a means to continually improve our homes for future guests.
We hope to host you for another truly carefree and great vacation in the future!
We arrived exhausted; city lights and noise still ringing in our heads and traveled back in time to a quaint, peaceful mountain village full of friendly people. We arrived at our destination to discover a clean and well prepared cabin. Fresh towels, clean sheets, soap, plenty of dishes and utensils in the kitchen, lots of room, games, a wood burning fireplace and tv. The stats in the black night sky were magic. We leave refreshed and will be back next year.
The property is beautiful. The area is amazing to explore. Our one complaint is the heating. There is a split AC in the living room and one in the bedroom, however, the one in the bedroom seems to have the temperature locked and can not be adjusted. Not cool....In fact it was COLD at night without being able to set the heat above 57! However, we simply left the bedroom door open and let the split unit in the living room heat the rest of the house.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you found our home beautiful and enjoyed exploring the area.
We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the heating in the bedroom. It sounds like the thermostat may be locked, which can sometimes happen in our homes. In the meantime, we're glad that you were able to keep warm by using the split unit in the living room. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you will give us the opportunity to host you again.
The cabin looked just like the pictures, and had all listed amenities. The location was a 4 minute drive from town, not sure if I would walk unless it was summer. Backyard was fenced in as promised, so it was good to bring our dog. The inside had games and puzzles for kids, even our 2 year old had stuff to do (though we did bring stuff for her). The TV had most streamers logged in, at least the ones we used, so that was nice. Only issue with the property itself was the front bathroom didn't seem insulated, so it was too cold to give our toddler a bath.
The management company, Vacasa, needs to hire new cleaning people. The place was really gross when we arrived. Do not blame the owners at all, this was not their fault. We have yet to hear about getting compensated for this.
On walking in the front door, our first impression of the property was quite positive, but then a closer look revealed flaws everywhere. First, there were no window coverings in the kitchen and the house immediately next door could look right in. The living room was cluttered with too much furniture and there was nowhere comfortable to sit. The mattresses on the beds in both the main bedroom and in the smaller bedroom were also totally uncomfortable. There was little to no space on one side of the bed in the main bedroom, making access difficult. There was no hot water in the shower in the main bathroom, so we had to use the bathroom adjacent to the front door. There was no dishwasher that we could find. As for cleaning, the whole place was full of dust, just everywhere. While the inside was a disappointment, the outside was simply unacceptable. The deck was dusty, full of pine needles and totally worn out. There was simply nowhere that was comfortable to sit and there was no view at all. The yard was nothing more than dirt, weeds and dog feces. We tried to contact management about the state of the furniture on the deck, but no one ever responded. We reserved this property for three nights, but only spent less than 20 hours there as it was so awful. We realize that there are lots of excellent reviews of this property, but we simply do not understand how others can view this place in a positive way. Our recommendation is look elsewhere.
