We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our farm guesthouse.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy beautiful views of farmland in amish country in the center of Lancaster County. Close to many tourist destinations...5 minutes to Intercourse, PA, 15 minutes to Strasburg and Sight and Sound, 10 minutes to Bird in Hand farmers market and restaurant, the quaint town of Lititz is only 20 minutes away...which was named "America's coolest small town" in 2013 by Budget Travel Magazine. And 15 minutes to Downtown Lancaster.

There are 2 bedrooms and 4 beds...(1 queen bed, 1 full bed and 1 bunk bed). All rooms are spacious and minimalistic.

Main Floor:
On the main floor we have a full kitchen, Livingroom and dining room all in one...it is a small space, not a lot of extra room and a full bath with a shower. We also have the mud/laundry room on this floor.

The kitchen is stocked with cooking pots and pans, and has plenty of dinnerware and utensils. We have a spacious refrigerator/freezer, with a built-in ice maker. We know how it is to travel, so we took one item off your list for you, coffee. In this kitchen we have a (Beautiful) coffee maker and coffee, ready for you to brew...we also have a single serve coffee maker and coffee beans so you can freshly grind each cup of coffee.
In the Kitchen is a dining table that seats 6.
Above the refrigerator of the main floor we have a mounted flat screen TV, and we have infant safe children's toys.
The bathrooms are stocked with towels, wash clothes, and toilet paper. We also supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash for your trip.
A washer and dryer are in the laundry room.. We have it stocked with laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and cleaning supplies for any messes made during your stay.

The thermostat for both floors is on the wall in the laundry area.

Upstairs:
We have two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has 1 queen bed and a rocking chair, Bedroom 2 has 1 full bed, a bunk bed and a swivel rocker.
There's also a full bath w a unique clawfoot tub to soak in after a long day.

Outside:
We are located in the wide open country, and it is absolutely gorgeous outside no matter what season it is. We have a porch with seating and a grill. Our backyard is open and flat with plenty of space for games, like spikeball, volleyball, football, cornhole etc.

Full disclaimer for our sweet chocolate lab "Jasmine". She is truly a sweetheart but has very little manners! She sleeps right outside the guesthouse and takes her job of protecting everyone inside the house very seriously! (She has plenty of warm places to go with heat...but this is where she chooses to be even in very cold weather.) She has no concept of "personal space". She loves to lick everyone. She will come by you when you're sitting on the porch drinking your coffee and if you decide to grill outside on the porch you better keep a hold of your burgers or else she'll snatch them. Turn your back and they'll be gone! She's the friendliest pooch on planet earth and just loves people!....Just without the manners!
The boxer "Roxy" and the pug "Piper" are both contained by an underground fence in the yard and cannot get to the walks. They are friendly but might not act friendly until they know that we are quite fine with you being here. Jasmine will also bark and act all "big" but if you say her name and talk to her she will be fine.

We are excited for your stay!

Feel free to enjoy the front porch rockers, the lawn (disclaimer: there may be occasional doggy doo in the lawn so watch your step), the playground behind the house and the flower gardens.

We do ask that you stay out of all other spaces such as barns, shops, etc.

We are usually around the farm working or playing, we have children so you may or may not see someone outside occasionally. We mind our own business and try to leave it up to you how much interaction we have with our guests. For some that's a friendly "wave" or "hi"...for others it might be questions about the area etc. Either way we try to honor our guests privacy.

Our stay at this guesthouse was perfect. The house was spotless and fully stocked with all the amenities a family could need (and more). The layout of everything and the decor is so charming, making everything bright and inviting. My 5 year old grandson loved staying on a farm for the first time and especially loved playing with the new puppies. If you have children, this is definitely the right place to stay at. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and hospitable and if the opportunity ever presents itself again, we absolutely will return.

Very clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen for cooking, no living room so it does lack a comfortable space for a family to relax but we didn’t spend much time at the house so it was okay.

About the host

Host profile image
We grew up in Lancaster County and enjoy creating unique and beautiful spaces for guests to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We are the fourth generation (our children being the fifth) to live on this family farm. We have wonderful memories of my dear grandparents who lived in this space. My brother and I grew up in the brick side (where my husband, children and I now live) and cherish the memories of going over for evening dinners with my grandparents while our parents were busy milking the cows and doing all the farm work things...as we got older we both had chores as well and helped with all the farm work.
When we updated it we wanted to make it as original as possible yet with modern touches. We hope you enjoy the space as much as we have over the years.
