Your mountain adventure begins at this cozy, renovated 2-bedroom cabin. With 10 waterfalls within 10 miles, countless hiking trails, 20 miles of biking trails, and venues like the Caverns and Bonaroo close by, this private wooded 2-acre property is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The location itself is a rare gem; where else can you enjoy the fresh air on the front porch swing, completely immersed in nature, see the stars at night, and also be close enough to town to walk to city hall and ride your bicycle to lunch?

The single bathroom features a historic clawfoot tub/shower combo. This cabin features a chef's kitchen and beautiful marble countertops. All furnishings and necessities are included.

This home is located on the stunning Cumberland Plateau, where modern comforts meet the raw beauty of Tennessee's outdoors. Just minutes away, dive into the heart of South Cumberland State Park (including Grundy Forest and Fiery Gizzard areas)—home to some of the Southeast's most breathtaking waterfalls, like Foster Falls (the iconic 60-ft plunge with swimming holes and rock climbing), Sycamore Falls, Bluehole Falls, Greeter Falls, and more. Hike world-class trails such as the legendary Fiery Gizzard Trail (praised by Backpacker Magazine as one of the top in the U.S.), with cascading streams, dramatic gorges, ancient trees, and panoramic overlooks that will leave you in awe. Whether you're chasing waterfalls, swimming in crystal-clear pools, or enjoying easy family-friendly paths like the Storybook Meadow Trail, the options are endless.

Catch live music in an otherworldly setting at The Caverns (just a short drive away in Pelham)—famous for underground concerts in a massive natural cave amphitheater, cave tours, and events like CaveFest. It's a bucket-list experience blending nature and entertainment!

Explore more nearby gems: zip line adventures with Bigfoot Adventure, scenic overlooks like Crow Creek Valley and Tom Pack Hollow with views stretching into Alabama, the University of the South, the quirky Amish Hippie shop, local farms like Cove Creek or Baggenstoss, and hidden spots like the Werner Military Museum for a dose of history.

Only about 1.5 hours from Nashville and under an hour from Chattanooga, Monteagle offers the ideal mix of small-town charm, gourmet eats, and endless outdoor thrills—hiking, rock climbing, picnicking, or simply soaking in the quiet mountain air from your private porch.

Book your stay and make unforgettable memories in this hidden gem of Tennessee's plateau!

I enjoy adventures with my family, and this is a perfect spot for them! With great food and waterfall trails all around. No two days are the same, and each one is always full of beauty, rain or shine!

Why they chose this property

I grew up coming to this cabin and spent many a wonderful summer here. I am so happy that I can now open it up for others to make memories that will last a lifetime. This neighborhood is so unique because it is outside of the city limits, yet you could bike to town. The area's beautiful scenery is unmatched.

What makes this property unique

My Godfather built this cabin 35 years ago, and my husband did a full remodel this year. It holds unforgettable memories for a great number of people. So much heart and soul went into this Cabin that you are sure to feel it's warmth while you are there.
