Gold Beach is a beautiful area with lots to explore. Pirate's Cove is located in a somewhat remote, private development and there are two roads with the same name so be sure to use the North entrance. The two houses were beautifully decorated, clean and the kitchen was very well well-stocked. The inconvenience of being separated across two buildings and all but one bedroom and bathroom being upstairs made the vacation less than ideal for family members with mobility challenges. The property sits on a bluff with gorgeous views of the ocean but you have to drive a few miles to access the beach. There is a very primitive path from the house down to the rocks but it is very difficult to get back up. Lastly, there are cameras all around the property, which is understandable for security in a remote location, but we felt like we were being watched during our stay. When we started a fire (in the designated fire pit with wood stacked nearby) the host called and asked us to put it out. Not a huge issue but it would have been nice to know that campfires in the fire pit pictured in the marketing photos were prohibited before we booked since sitting around the fire and catching up is a family tradition for us.

As stated on the website the house is on N chantrelle, the beach in front of the house is rocky yes it’s a steep walk as far as cameras the one facing the drive way is the one in use, in response to fire pit is illegal to have a fire per US Forrest service which is y there was no wood by the pit.this time of year.sorry you didn’t have as good as time as you expected.
