The only unfortunate thing was our flight into Seattle was extremely delayed. We would have liked to spend more time at the house. It was perfect for our stay before boarding a cruise the next day. One of us actually walked to the Port. Nice location, walkable community
We had a five-adult family reunion at this Queen Anne location. It was perfect for meeting our other relatives who lived in the Magnolia section of Seattle and our business at the University of Washington. Kate, our host, was prompt in communications before, during and after our visit. The home was clean, parking was easy -- even for up to four cars when our relatives were visiting. I've stayed at seven different vacation home rentals, and I would put this one in the top two. The views were great when dining on the back deck. Thank you Kate.

I grew up in Seattle, and after spending time in college and after on the East Coast, am happy to be back with my growing family. I love being outside in the mountains and at local parks. I am thrilled offering others the chance to experience Seattle's beauty and also many varied adventures! Our Queen Anne house with its central location and historic craftsman style is a perfect launching pad for exploring Seattle.
Why they chose this property
I love Queen Anne--it is very central to many neighborhoods of Seattle, including downtown and the waterfront, and accessible to bus lines and transportation, yet also a very quiet, lovely, nature-filled neighborhood with stupendous views throughout. I also love that for children our house is practically across the street from a small playground, and an easy walk to a local grocery store (Ken's Market) and a fabulous bakery (Macrina's).
What makes this property unique
Our large deck and stellar mountain and water views--sunsets from the balcony always take my breath away. I also love that the house has high ceilings, original wood floors, windows everywhere, and a feeling of elegance and comfort overall. It is comfortable for up to eight people but also quaint and cozy for a couple or family.
