Overall a great location next to the beach. The floor boards are squishy and need replacing - made it odd to walk into the kitchen. Bed was super soft and access to everything (including UBER) was very convenient.
We enjoyed staying here! The location is perfect, especially if you have kids. The duplexes are connected by a door on the inside and you can hear the neighbors sometimes, but it wasn’t a problem.
Overall a decent stay. A large spot on floor near kitchen seemed to be very soft so we blocked it with a chair for safety purposes. Found a pill on ground when doing initial walkthrough (just a warning for pet owners to please check ALL houses before entering with pet) but other than that property was clean and could not ask for anything more. Hope to stay here again.
Great location! Easy Beach access and nice lawn for the dog. Everything worked as advertised and as depicted on the VRBO. Easy check in and check out. Plenty of room and would gladly stay here again.
The location was wonderful. A few little issues. First there was no porch light on my side, 2nd we could hear most everything the couple next door was saying. The door that separates the two sides is uneven allowing noise from the other side to be heard. The house was very clean minus the couple mouse droppings in the kitchen
We booked this unit to be close to the beach as well as have pet friendly accommodations. The space was clean and appeared to be freshly painted/redecorated however, the floor is a huge issue. There were many soft spots and it is uneven throughout. In the kitchen there was an area larger than my foot that was about to fall through. I notified the property manager who responded the next morning (it was not an emergency) and send someone out to check the other unit to see if it was safer for us to move there. We moved to the other side of the duplex which still had soft spots/ floor weakness but no holes in the floor. Hopefully they will tear out and redo the floor system to these units because the location and size is great for a small family.
Loved the location of this house, on a corner lot across from a beach access. Nice size yard with grass for walking pets or toddlers. And quiet! Considering it was Memorial Day weekend, the area was very quiet and the beach uncrowded.
As stated, the kitchen is “simply” stocked with basics so if you plan to cook much you might want to bring you favorite utensils, etc. But, who goes to the beach to cook, right?! There was a 12 cup coffeemaker which is helpful for more than 1 coffee lover.
Jamie was excellent to work with and very responsive. Already thinking about Labor Day weekend!
The host was very responsive and helpful when we had an issue with the internet. The cottage is well maintained and updated, very cute. Great location with easy access to the beach. Very tight with little room for clothes storage. No exhaust vent in the bathroom and there was mold/mildew growing in the bathroom cabinet, so it could not be used for storage and if you have asthma or allergies, this would be an issue. Don't plan to cook. The kitchen is poorly stocked for that & there is no dishwasher. There was dried drool on the decorative pillow on our bed, yuck! The advertised price was $184/night, but after the add-on fees it was $300/night. You only find that out once you click "book." Owner makes you either buy damage insurance or put up a $1500 damage security fee and VRBO states it is solely up to the homeowner as to whether the renter gets any of that back.

We decided to book this property for our family of 4 and a dog, due to the location and pet friendliness. Everything started with great communication and easy check in. The accommodations were basic and the building a little tired with lots of sand everywhere including in the beds. We accepted it as a part of being at the beach. On day 2 and day 3 it rained on and off. As we were settling in the evening, my daughter alerted me that something crawled over her foot. When I looked under the couch a large brown cockroach looking creature ran and hid into the HVAC vent. We have never seen anything like it and there was not going to be any comfort or sleep to be had any longer.
At this point I contacted the property manager (Jamie) and told her about the bug and that we had to cut our stay short. We packed our bags and had to find different accommodations. The property manager stated that the bug is a water bug and the owner offered to have an exterminator there in the morning. At that point, I politely refused and requested a refund for the remainder of our stay. While it might not be a cockroach, water bugs also have unpleasant qualities. Jamie wanted us to inform VRBO, so they can rebook and issue a refund. After that was completed Jamie stopped responding.
I called VRBO and they in turn contacted the property owner, who said she/he has a NO REFUND policy, she/he offered the exterminator and water bugs are part of nature. I agree - part of nature on the OUTSIDE.
