About this property

"West View Cabins" on Ostego Lake - Cabin #4 - Waterfront and on Trail 7

Welcome to "West View Cabins". We offer four (4) cabins tucked together on Otsego Lake, directly on Trail 7.

This is Cabin 4, a true up‑north hideaway. This charming two‑bedroom, one‑bath cabin has an open kitchen‑and‑living space that feels like the kind of place folks gather to swap stories over a warm meal. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds that bring back that classic cabin nostalgia. FYI: The old-style cabin walls do not go all the way to the ceiling.

Stay connected with Wi-Fi and relax with essentials like air conditioning and heating. Boat docking, trailer parking, kayaks, and bikes. Grassy commons area with large firepits overlooking the lake with complimentary firewood. Shallow sandy bottom swimming area with floats. Incudes propane grill, starter paper products, coffee supplies. Turn from the driveway onto Trail 7!

**There are 20 wood steps with a handrail down to the waterfront.

***Pets: One dog under 50# per cabin, with a $25/night pet fee. Please check the box when making the reservation that says, "Travelling with pets" and then message us with the color/description of your furry friend.

****Always Improving: To ensure the highest quality stay for our guests, we are currently in the process of refreshing our interiors. While the layout and amenities remain as described, some furniture and decor items may differ from the listing photos due to these recent upgrades.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We loved the dual firepit area. The firepit closest to the cabin could use some tree triming to enhance the view of the beautiful lake. Cabin had a rustic vibe and was well stocked. We would definitely book again.

This cabin exceeded my expectations! It has the rustic feel, while at the same time has all the amenities and extra touches needed for a really comfortable stay. Beautiful lake view and access, and really nice fire pit areas with chairs. Clean propane grill was right outside the cabin. The cabin was also extremely clean. I would absolutely stay here again.

About the host

I'm excited to bring the same hospitality you loved at North View Cabins to my new property, West View Cabins! I've always cherished Northern Michigan, and I can't wait to share that passion with guests at this new location.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, outdoor adventure, and peaceful lakefront living. The property sits right on the sandy shores of Otsego Lake, giving you easy access to swimming, boating, and Trail 7 is at the end of the driveway!

What makes this property unique

What sets this property apart is its rare combination of flexibility, privacy, and pure Up North charm. Instead of a single rental, guests have access to four quaint cottages, each with its own character. Whether someone is planning a quiet couples’ getaway, a family vacation, or a large group retreat, they can rent one cottage or all four, creating a setup that’s hard to find anywhere else.

The location is another standout feature. The cottages are nestled perfectly between Otsego Lake and the state forest, giving guests the best of both worlds—sandy shoreline on one side and peaceful wooded trails on the other. It’s the kind of place where you can sip your morning coffee by the water, spend the afternoon exploring the forest, and end the day around a lakeside fire.
