Relaxing getaway
This house was perfect for our family’s Christmas vacation. The location is close to all of the major ski resorts, walking distance to the lake and there is national forest land right out the back door for hiking and sledding. We’ll definitely be back!
The cabin was just right for us. It was clean and came fully stocked for us. The wooded area out back was perfect for snow play. They even provided some board games that we enjoyed playing in the evening hours.
We had great time lounging at the beach during the day and relaxing at the cabin in the evening. Great fun had by all. Look forward to staying again. Thanks

Beautiful getaway
We visited in October as the weather was changing and had a great time. The house was very inviting and had everything we needed. We hiked and biked. Spent lots of time at the lake (which is super close) and visited some great breweries.

Great place to stay!
We loved our stay! The cabin was perfect for our summer getaway. The location was quiet and the house was clean and well stocked. You can walk to the lake and rent kayaks at Watermans, walk to Garwoods for a Woody, and you can walk right out the back door for a nice hike. Our kiddos loved the foosball table and the bunk room. We'll be back.

Nice place, good location
This was our second time staying in Carnelian Bay. The cabin is about a 15 minute walk to the lake, and Watermans Landing. The place could use some updating, but it suited our needs just fine for 4 nights. The beds were all very comfortable, and the place felt clean. We loved that they had kayaks and a SUP in the garage. Also the garage was very roomy with high ceilings, so we were able to park our Toyota Tundra in it which was nice. We would gladly stay here again.
The location was perfect! Both kings beach and Tahoe city are a15 min drive. The neighborhood was quite and relaxing. The property felt safe and inviting with ample seating along with comfortable beds. While it’s a smaller house considering the homes around it, it was the perfect location for our family vacation.

A Great Cabin !
We love the proximity to the Lake, backing up to conserved land. We followed trails leading up to the Tahoe Rim Trail system! Relaxed in front of the fire inside and on the deck. Stocked with lots of extras. It was super clean.

Perfect location
We spent a week here with our young kids and had a great time exploring all that Tahoe has to offer. You can walk to the lake, the proximity to hikes and skiing is excellent, and you can walk right out the back door to explore the national forest. Our kids loved sledding right out back! The house was very clean, welcoming and well stocked. We'll definitely be back!
Great location, 15 minutes to beach, restaurant, mini golf. Hiking in woods right behind house. House itself needs thorough cleaning though - counters, floors, walls, carpets, etc.

Perfect spot for a ski vacation
We had a very fun an relaxing week at this cabin. We skied at the nearby mountains almost everyday. We took the kids sledding on a hill that’s part of the national forest land right outside of the cabin’s back door. We made great meals in the well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood is super quiet which made for great nights of sleep. We’ll definitely be back.

Great location
A very well equipped house and the photos reflect the reality. The drive way if very spacious and can easily accommodate multiple cars ( we’ve had 2 jeeps). The garage is also very spacious and clean. It is a 15 min easy walk to the beach ( very dog friendly stone beach and great for kayaking and paddle boarding). Behind the house, there is a nice trail in the woods. Few minutes drive from grocery stores, gas station, restaurant and other public beaches.

Great stay
Get location. Great place. When we arrived we got the wrong code for the lock box and garage door. That took awhile to get situated and it didn’t help that it was dark so it was tricky to find the house with the address. The only down side was the water pressure while showering and getting a steady temp other than that it’s a cozy house.

Family getaway
We loved this location. We were a family of 6 with adult children and were all very comfortable in the house. We spent our days out and about but enjoyed each evening cooking dinners in and on the back porch sitting around the fire pit.
The house is located conveniently to many things. We walked to the beach and miniature golf one day. We drove to Kings beach and spent a day there. We walked the Tahoe East Shore Trail. So much to do nearby.
Thank you for your prompt responses to our questions. We had a great time and hope to return next year.

Do not recommend.
It is a dirty place to stay at; unsanitary. Took pictures of cockroach. Pillows had slobber (from last guest possibly), and rug was disgusting to walk on. Hope they get this place cleaned up. Was really looking forward to this vacation and this place really messed up some of those memories.

We're so sorry you were unhappy, Jacqueline. Pest control did come inspect the home during your visit and were unable to find evidence of roaches. All of the comforters and pillows have been washed. Thank you!
We're so glad to hear that you loved your stay, James! It truly means a lot to us. Our team works hard to ensure that every detail is just right, and knowing you enjoyed your time in Carnelian Bay brings us joy. We would be thrilled to welcome you back anytime for another memorable getaway. Thank you for choosing Avari!
This was the perfect family home, tucked away from Highway 28, making it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Trails for walking, hiking, and biking are right outside the back door, and the Tahoe Rim Trail is just over a mile away. The house was exceptionally well-equipped, with everything we needed—from kayaks to board games. The location was ideal as well: an easy walk to a dog-friendly beach that our pup absolutely loved, plus mini golf nearby for the kids. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
