The Space:
Fuel your adventurous spirit at the Blue Pine Chalet! Perfect for multiple families or groups of outdoor enthusiasts, the home has been designed and decorated to cater to families with children and recreationalists as that’s what we are, and what we know best. The proximity of outdoor activities is something you won't be able to find elsewhere! The Cross-Town Trail is directly across the street and the Summit Ski Area is at the end of the road. This gives guests access to ride bikes, ski, or snowboard at Timberline Lodge just out the front door. For beginner skiers and snowboarders in the group, Summit Ski Area is easily accessible. There is no time wasted packing kids and ski gear into cars as Timberline Lodge, Summit Ski Area or Mt Hood Ski Bowl are all accessible via walking or shuttle straight out the front door! Entry ways into the chalet have storage for boots, jackets, helmets, and gear. The owners even included a bike washing station and racking system with locks for summertime guests. If skiing or biking isn’t your thing, the trails give you access to hiking, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing. The home is also within walking distance of town where you can find restaurants and shopping.
This beautiful home just completed a full remodel of the 1989 Austrian-inspired chalet. The décor is designed to be modern, but comfortable so that guests can fully relax and enjoy their time. The interior showcases the blue pine walls and large open beams from the open loft to the living room. The floor plan boasts three full living spaces including loft, main living room, and basement living room. The Chalet is equipped with free WiFi and TVs, two full baths, and laundry on site. The kitchen has all new appliances and is fully equipped so that guests can cook and entertain during their stay. There are two large gas fireplaces that you can cozy up to and watch a movie or read a book, a large deck out back with a view of ski bowl, a gas grill, and a private outdoor hot tub, and a pool table in the loft that will provide hours of inside entertainment.

The highlight of our stay was the loft sleeping area—my kids absolutely loved it! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed. We had a couple of minor issues, but the property manager was easy to reach and resolved them quickly. Overall, we had a great stay.

2nd Stay!!!
We loved this home so much that we came back again! There is so much to do and the home is so spacious that everyone can spread out and do their own thing. We loved the pool table, hot tub, and especially all the hiking trails. Thank you for having us again!
Really enjoyed the stay, great set up, nice kitchen amenities. Clean, quiet. Hot tub was great. Easy access to trails in area as well as town. Road can get icy so may need chains to get to if there's a lot of snow on ground.
Awesome house with lots to do! Easy walk to the Ratskeller, accommodates a large group well, pool table is sweet, hot tub was well maintained and we were left with the tools to keep it clean. Kitchen is well set up for cooking large meals, beds are cozy, bathrooms are nice, overall this place is fantastic. We had a great ski vacation 😎

Fantastic place
Great set up. Tons of room. If it is snowing, and you’re on the border of needing chains (say you are fine on the highway, but not on the steeper, narrow roads) come up east little trail rather than Macoy.

Winter Escape
Our family loves returning to this house every spring for a snow fix. The house has beds enough beds for everyone, and with two living spaces, enough room to spread out. The side yard is a great place for the kids to sled and build in the snow.

Wonderful cabin, views, location!
We absolutely loved this place! We stayed in the off season and the weather was phenomenal, so we really enjoyed the upper deck with the hot tub. The cabin is in great shape and perfect for large groups, we had 7 people and everyone had their own zone too, which was awesome. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need, we even found a milk frother for coffee!! Walking into Govy was easy too & we found a fun trail right above the cabin that our kids loved mountain biking on. We’ll definitely be back.
The house was very clean, spacious, excellent for multiple family groups. The 6 yo loved the hot tub! Great selection of games and toys; very child friendly! Close to skiing and plenty of snow outside the house to play in ( in mid-April!). Would be great in the summer too; we’ll be back!

Amazing location for our Mt. Hood ski trip. We really enjoyed the stay, it has all the amenities you could want. The hot tub was clean and hot. The only note I have is to let the property owner know that the dishwasher wasn't functioning properly. It seems like it is breaking but wasn't a huge inconvenience for us. Thank you for having us! We would definitely come back again.

Great spot!
Spacious and comfy home. Would have appreciated a late check-out as we had elderly folks with us, but Vacasa or the homeowner didn't allow this. 10:00am check out seems quite early.

Great place. Lots of room. Coffee pot broke but Crystal brought us one that worked and wasn’t able to use the oven. Things break and I understand.

Thank you for your kind words! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the space. We apologize for the inconvenience with the coffee pot and oven, but we're happy that Crystal was able to provide a working coffee pot for you. We appreciate your understanding and hope to host you again soon!
The perfect Government Camp Chalet if the hot tub was functioning. Aside from the location, the hot tub was a major reason why we rented this home however it did not heat past 76 deg the whole weekend. Definitely check to see if the hot tub is functioning before renting if having one is important to your getaway.

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. We are sorry for any issues you encountered during your stay. We passed your comments along to our local manager to review and we appreciate guests’ preferences as a means to continually improve. We look forward to hosting your next stay!
Went with friends for a summer trip to see a meteor shower. It was great to be up on the mountain and have a big porch for stargazing. We had 8 adults (2 couples and 4 singles), and I would say that is pretty much the maximum. We maybe could have fit in 1 more if they were in a couple, but I was glad we had a no-show couple because there's only 2 private rooms with large beds. Kitchen is awesome for cooking for a group, lots of room around the house for activities, and of course, close to Mt Hood stuff like Trillium lake.

Great place to spend time, very hard to get ahold of help.
Some friends and I stayed at this spot for 3 nights and had a really good time. The pool table was so fun. Sadly the hot tub was not working which was the main reason we wanted to go there. It was a ski trip and we would have loved to get into the hot tub and I feel you would pay a premium to have a hot tub. It took an arm and a leg to get someone to come by and get the tub working and it wasn't until the last night. I really liked the spot but dealing with vacasa was inconvenient.

Awesome Location for exploring mount hood.
Stayed here with a 2 families and a dog. The property is great if you have small kids, the pool table was nice and the living area is comfy. People in my group were constantly complaining about cleanliness of the place , the downstairs bathroom was smelling really bad through the say , and the property was pretty dusty in places not what you expect when you pay such a large amount as cleaning fees .
Hot tub was not turned on or cleaned the first day, so couldn't use it until the second day, thankfully they had all the pool chemicals nearby to fix it yourself .
Place is huge and can comfortably sleep 10, only 2 bathrooms , top level does not have a bathroom . Wifi did not work after the first few hours , so if you plan on being reliant on network access bring your own.

We highly appreciate your review, Aswin. We have brought your feedback to the local operations manager to look into the concerns regarding upkeep. Steps have been taken to make the necessary improvements, such as ensuring cleanliness is up to standard and that the hot tub works properly. We value your feedback and hope to exceed your expectations in the future.
This house is right off the ski slopes.
I was unable to communicate prior damage (door scratches on master bedroom door,) leaking dishwasher, and bathroom fan in master do not work. Hot tub has a heating issue and would report wrong temps and shut down.
Home is beautiful. So much space for all of our guests. Really a great space in a great location.
Better communication with the property manager and a few minor fixes needed.
Also no checkout instructions on paper. When I extended my stay for late checkout it disappeared in my VRBO manager and I could not find and follow checkout instructions.

5 stars for the home. 0 stars for vacasa management
The house is great. Right in govy and easy access to all mt hood’s best spots. Would have loved a 3rd bathroom for how many people can stay here but we made do. Beds are comfy. Lots of stuff for kids and pets. Did not use the hot tub. We were here on a hot weekend and there was one tiny fan aside from the two ceiling fans, could’ve used a box fan. Also be aware that the temperature differential between the basement and the main floors is considerable, at least 15 degrees. Overall a really lovely place. Found vacasa management super annoying, so many texts leading up to and during our trip, purchase early check in, purchase late checkout, a text notification that they were going to send a text notification the next day, etc. Swear i got like 20 texts from them during the three days I was there. Just leave me alone and let me enjoy my trip!
