The front door lock mechanism was, and still is, broken. The code did not work. The battery in the lock device was dead. The garage opener device did not work either. I even went to the store to buy a new battery only to discover the wire from the battery was rusted away. An hour later, management told me the combo to the lock box on the side steps so I could use the key to get in. Even that did not work well. Finally, upon entering the property there is black mold and dirt throughout the unit- vents especially were dirty. The master bedroom closet vent was full of mold and dirt. The management guy said when we leave he will schedule whole house vent cleaning. The refrigerator had blackish mold in the water dispenser. The ice machine had black crud throughout the ice so we dumped all the ice and just bought a bag of ice. Dust on all windows/wall decorations like it had not been cleaned in months. The grill was so filthy it was not usable - full of ash and grease and had not been cleaned in a very long time. I wanted to use it so I spent an hour cleaning it. This could be a nice townhouse if owners paid attention to cleaning issues, but obviously they do not. I demanded they move my family to a non black mold house, the vustay management people ignored me and kept using rhetoric like 'we understand your concerns sir' and 'we will be sure to fix the problem'. There was nowhere to take the trash- they would not provide the dumpster code to take it down the street.
