Very nice location. Plenty of room to move about. Plenty of linens. New A/C units and heaters work well.

Hi, Darcy. Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the great view and found the price to be nice. We appreciate your feedback regarding the driveway parking and will share your comments with our local team to help improve clarity for future guests. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
Other than our vacation was in the middle of ME's heat wave and only a small window AC in the living room (no fans or ceiling fans in bedrooms), it was a great central location in order to go see the rest of ME.
Such a lovely home-- remodeled with a great blend of comfort and nice decor. Very quiet (didn't hear any street noises the whole time we were there), great option for family of 4. Would stay here again with future visits.
The Upper Corbel House is a nicely renovated space that retains its 1860s charm. Close enough to Acadia National Park so that it's not inconvenient but far enough away to be cost effective. Bucksport is just as charming as the house and Fort Knox is a must see. Looking forward to a return visit!

Great space, but NO A/C
(Rented the upper unit) Great location and great layout. Very spacious. Advertised as "partial A/C" but there is NONE. They had 2 box fans we placed in windows to move the air.

Hi Ray, thank you for sharing your feedback. Our local team has confirmed that the owners were previously unable to access the unit between guests to complete the installation, but this has now been resolved. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the location and spacious layout, and we look forward to hosting you again.
The Upper Corbel House was very clean and comfortable. Bucksport was a great location for basing ourselves as we went to Schoodic, Belfast, and Unity for the Common Ground Fair as well as exploring around Bucksport.
The apartment is spacious and well decorated. It has an adequate kitchen, great bathtub with lots of hot water, and 2 bedrooms that are in either end of the apartment so you have privacy from others.
Advertised as "partial A/C" but there is NONE. They had 2 box fans we placed in windows to get air movement. No ceiling fans to help either. Very nice and recommend otherwise.

Upper Corbel House
Good stay, nice and clean! Better than a hotel room but just one ac unit didn't seem like enough to keep it cool especially in the back bedroom. Would be nice if it had larger couch too. But for the price and last minute decision it was a good find!

Disappointed
We stayed in the downstairs unit. When the man upstairs walked around, literally, the doors and windows rattled. It was loud! But overlooking that, it was the town that we were most disappointed in. There are only a few open restaurants and most of them close at 2:00. The town may have been vibrant at one time but definitely not now. We would not recommend Bucksport..

Jim, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the noise from the upstairs unit and the limited dining options during your stay. We understand how that affected your experience. We appreciate your comments and will share them with the property owner. We hope future guests have a better visit to the area.
We used this location as our home base for Acadia Vacation. It was about a 40 minute easy drive. Not too many restaurants to choose from in the town of Bucksport but we spent most of the day at the park and ate near Bar harbor. The Bucksport pizza shop had great food and a pleasant staff. The house is listed as having partial A/c but when we arrived we only had fans and it was a very stuffy 80 degrees in the house. A call to the management rectified the situation and within the hour the owner came and installed 2 window air conditioners which worked great! Everything else was good- could use a dish rack- no dishwasher in the unit so when you hand wash dishes there is no place to set them for air drying. . Washer and dryer in the unit was a plus. Nice stay.!!

Gorgeous home!
The Corbel house is gorgeous! We stayed upstairs, which has 2 bedrooms. It is beautifully decorated and quite charming. It has everything you need on your vacation! I will say it was very hot inside as there is only one window unit in the dining room. (They do provide box fans for you though) The weather was very hot during our visit. We had some issues with the dryer and it couldn’t be repaired while we were there. But it really wasn’t a big deal to us. The neighborhood is so quiet all the time, even at night with the windows open. The house is only a few houses from Main St., Bucksport. There are local shops that are quite hospitable and a wonderful ice cream shop. Stop by the Community Pharmacy for your Bucksport shirts and hats. Eat on the Penobscot River and take a stroll on the river walk. You will get close up views of Fort Knox Historic Site and the gorgeous Penobscot Narrows Bridge! The Corbel House is so close to many seafood restaurants that serve fresh Maine delights. You are close to many other Maine attractions. You won’t be disappointed in this home or the quint little town!!

Clean house but amenities are not accurately described
Cute house that is nicely decorated and suitable for a small family however I was counting on a functioning washer/dryer (clearly seen in virtual tour) but dryer didn't work. Called property manager 3 days in a row to see if a repair could be made and only was told that there was a "Ticket Out on it" and never received any follow-up. Also, property lists having a dishwasher, but there isn't. Kitchen could also use more pots and pans, plates, mugs (only 3 mugs), glasses (only 2 glasses) and more storage-type of containers and maybe some salt and pepper shakers. House got pretty hot during the day except the living room with the AC Unit. Property manager was also not really good with communication. The bathroom was nice- good supply of hot water and water pressure. Overall, the small nuisances didn't deter a good time in a cute house that was clean and pleasant to be in.
