Great location and view

Great location away from everyone. A short walk to town and the harbor. The view and easy access to the water was perfect.

Beautiful location

Off the beaten path but close enough to everything. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. It’s a nice walk to town or the harbor. The beach area was perfect for us to kayak and paddle board. The bedroom views of the water were perfect.

The house was fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay in beautiful Southwest Harbor. The private beach and deck were a delight and the proximity to the Claremont was a bonus. There were a few minor glitches while we were there but the response time was just a few minutes and the issues were quickly resolved.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location! Walking along the path to the little beach was a favorite of our family! Everything you need for a stress free vacation. We enjoyed walking to dinner in the charming town. Getting to Acadia was an easy drive and the hiking is fantastic. My teenage son said, "10 out of 10" for this wonderful home!

Excellent stay!

Perfect stay over a few days. Loved the upstairs/downstairs BR concept which gave 2 families of 4 privacy when needed. House decor is warm yet not fancy, perfect for our needs. It was stocked well also. Location is A+ and can't wait to get back here!

Perfect oceanfront home!

We loved our stay at Clarkside. Our family of five and small pup had plenty of space. Kitchen was very well stocked and WiFi was great for many devices streaming and gaming. We brought along our kayaks and enjoyed paddling to Greening Island. We loved coming back to the quieter Southwest Harbor after busy days hiking at Acadia or shopping at Bar Harbor. Downtown is a nice walk and has great cafes and shops. Beal’s is also a must for dinner! Our first trip to Maine definitely won’t be our last! Thank you for providing your beautiful property for traveling families.

Wonderful place to stay

We were a group of four women friends traveling to Acadia to spend a couple of days exploring the island. This place is ideal for a small group (two cars only), with 2 1/2 baths and four bedrooms. It was clean and comfortable as well as beautifully appointed. Kitchen had plenty of good dishes, cooking equipment and space. Beautiful views off the deck as well as good seating. We all loved it. Only thing I did not find was a hair dryer, but I had brought my own. There were nice restaurants nearby, and, of course, the whole island to explore. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

Wonderful time in Acadia

We had a wonderful 7 days at Clarkside. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids. My parents took the downstairs twin room, my sister had the queen room, my kids had the upstairs twin and my husband and I were in the upstairs king. I thought the pictures and 3d tour were spot on! The view is amazing! Each day at low tide, we’d take the little path down to the beach and look for shells. We saw a deer on a few of the mornings. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with. The home is so close to Acadia. We spent most our days at the park. We had yucky weather one of the days, but made the most of it with a fire in the wood stove fireplace and puzzles. The home is also right across the street from Claremont hotel…my husband and I walked over to their bar and had some wine and shared a charcuterie and my parents ate dinner at Little Fern restaurant. They said dinner there was a little pricy for what you get, but it was good. We also ate at Beals, Thurston and the Travelin Lobster to get our lobster fixes! All amazing! Just a few pointers for future guests…the gps will take you to the birdhouse unit. We arrived when it was dark and rainy so it was hard to see where to park for Clarkside. We didn’t notice there are little signs on trees that mark where to go, so follow the signs that say Clarkside. For groceries, Southwest Foodmart IGA is close and will have everything you need. The house had a cooler to use in the closet on the main floor, so it’s easy to pack your lunch for picnics in the park. We had brought our own cooler. We loved Acadia and would definitely recommend Clarkside to stay!
