The house is lovely. The first floor has two comfortable rooms for reading or conversation and a spacious and well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are also comfortable and well furnished. The owner has thought of everything a guest might need. The property and views were my favorite amenities, just stunning. We had a terrific week!
We had a great stay at this property! The owner is very responsive and welcoming! The property has literally everything that you need for a perfect stay in Maine! It has all the technology and all of the wildlife! I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Highly recommended!
My husband and I, along with my sister and brother-in-law, spent the most peaceful, relaxing week at this beautiful home. The house is the perfect blend of old and new with so many thoughtful touches added to make a stay here as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed the wide variety of birds and wildlife which visited us.While quiet and secluded, the house is close to sites such as the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Harbor and, a number of historic sites and lighthouses. Absolutely perfect!
We all know, in anything, there always has to be a first! Incredibly, we have the honor and distinction of being Daren’s first guests.
This place epitomized Maine cottage living at its finest! If that isn’t enough, Daren truly defines Maine hospitality.
For my family and I, this trip was extra special as the U.S. Navy sent me here in 1984 (formerly NAS Brunswick) where I did seven years. Add to that, life could not have gotten any better when, while stationed here, I met my wife (another navy veteran).
We married in 1988, had a daughter in 1990, then left in 1991 to support the needs of the military.
Since then, we’ve made several visits. This one was bitter sweet as my wife passed away last year. So, this was a journey of celebration, remembrance, and, for our daughter and her family, a return 32 years later, to her birthplace.
I pray everyone has the experience I/we have had!
Always, Wes
