The Wheelhouse sits just around the corner from Laite Memorial Beach and less than half a mile from the heart of downtown Camden with its picturesque harbor and world-class restaurants. It's a place to spend your days kayaking on Penobscot Bay, hiking at Camden Hills State Park, and taking scenic drives along the Midcoast.

This two-story home is a great escape for couples and families alike, welcoming you back from your daily excursions with a shaded front porch, a back patio, and a yard where you can play lawn games or take afternoon naps in the hammock. Inside, the house features nautical-inspired decor throughout, with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room lined with windows, and a living room with a gas fireplace where you can play board games and stream your favorite movies. A washer/dryer and a pair of desk workspaces are provided for your convenience as well.

Husband and I stayed for a long weekend. Loved it - would return. Spacious, incredible views, amazing huge central stone fireplace and tall ceilings both levels. Large scale original art. Lots of comfy couches. Yes random things are outdated or don’t work, but don’t let that scare you off - it’s clean. Quirky. Walked along the ocean rocks from the house all the way around the point to Ocean Beach. Sea glass at the beach. Trail from the driveway through the woods to Cunner Rock Road. Went to a concert at the Opera House.

Beautiful private ocean front home

Large, roomy home and very private. Ocean view from the deck. A lot of space and places to gather both inside and outside. Everything was very nice except for a few small issues. No air conditioning or fans in gathering areas, Dish washer did not clean well, and there was no hand soap in the bathrooms.

This property was absolutely beautiful, stunning and amazing. My family and I would definitely recommend & stay in this beautiful house again!! Beautiful Maine Coast Home

We had a wonderful time in this spacious house. The deck and coastal views are even better than the pictures. Truly spectacular. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen and grill amenities were fantastic. Windows are large and screened and could cool quickly. The one note I would make is that despite being listed as a 4-bedroom, the fourth is really a common area futon. So if you need four distinct sleeping rooms, this may not be ideally suited. Otherwise, a truly spectacular home that we would happily stay in again. Vacasa team is quick and easy to contact. Wonderful vacation spot!

The views are gorgeous. Home was spotless upon arrival. Large home, lots of space for everyone to spread out. Lovely grounds and deck. Beds were comfortable and bed linens were nice. Great water pressure in showers. Kitchen is lacking in cooking utensils and grill was not operable. But we would return!

Amazing location and architecturally beautiful house

The house is on a huge piece of property on the water in Wast BoothBay, architecturally like a Frank Wright house BUT it was built in 1990 and hasn’t been updated. It’s needs some TLC. We enjoyed the location and views from the deck and the fact that one has access to the water, BUT the house needs to be updated.

Best waterfront stay in Boothbay

My family and I loved this place so much that we definitely want to come back and stay again. Beach combing was fun looking for interesting rocks and seaglass. It was also nice sitting out the huge rocks and admiring the water. Driving around the town of Boothbay was amazing. The people were so friendly and the town has alot of charm. The house was another part of the trip that made it memorable. It had plenty of windows to be able to get a view of the water. The house was well equipped and the property manager was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely choose this house again if we come back to stay in Boothbay.

Great location and great size!

The location is gorgeous with many views of the ocean. There were tide pools for the kids to play in when we were there. Two area of grass for volleyball or outdoor games. Plenty of sitting areas for large groups. The area was very clean as wel! There was basically no Wi-Fi and the two tvs they had were extremely outdated. While we weren’t there to watch tv, we have teenagers and they do appreciate a show or two, as well as Wi-Fi when we are relaxing at home. The house is very eclectic which was pretty neat!

the house location and the house itself are simply magnificent. The house could stand a few improvements. The deck furniture is simply terrible. The Small table and the chairs are old and rusted. One chair was totally unusable. This is our second stay there and are planning on another stay. We are hoping for a new deck set.

Beautiful home but it needs a little work, specifically replacing all of the screens missing or damaged. It was hot and humid the week we were there and w/ no AC, the lack of screens in the doors and windows made it decidedly uncomfortable. Also, w/ no AC, it would be helpful to have fans available for guests to use. Fortunately we brought our own.

The view offsets the lack in other areas

The view is unparalleled. A 10 out of 10. A birdwatchers dream. Great spot for the Perseid meteor shower. The home itself needs some attention. The housekeepers are efficient I am sure they don’t have time to take care of necessary home maintenance. Plenty of room in the house. Not a house for those needing assistance walking or visually impaired. Multilevel, sunken rooms would wreak havoc on the elderly.

Summer in East Boothbay Harbor

Great scenery. TV on first floor did not work. Contacted Vacasa and were told they would text directions. Did not happen. They credited our account, I am told. Have not verified yet. The onsite apartment was not usable: moldy odor, dank. Downstairs bedroom had queen bed and a ladder to a loft. Not for the faint of heart. Quiet street, great for walking our dog. Friendly neighbors. Internet not protected, so unusable for checking on sensitive matters.
