We celebrated my father's 80th birthday at the cottage and really enjoyed the weekend. The deck overlooking the cove and the cove acces was great. The dogs loved retrieving dummies in the water. The cottage is a classic, old school Maine cottage which was fun and reminded me of Maine when I was a kid.

Enjoyed Our Stay
A lovely stay with my family at this cottage. Had everything we needed and the location was lovely.
We loved the house--it was homey and clean, and it felt like someone's actual home. So many short term rentals these days are investment properties and feel like they've been outfitted by AI--something that had a vague idea of what a human on vacation might want, but no actual human experience. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the things we needed, the livingroom was cozy and all the furniture was comfortable. Sitting on the warm rocks down by the beach was lovely, and there are SO many great places to walk nearby. We highly recommend the Appalachee Preserves, which are just a short walk away. We ate out at Ports of Italy and the Thistle Inn and both were delicious. We had a great visit and would definitely stay here again.
Lovely big porch and deck near the one of the many harbors in Booth Bay. Short drive from town. If you want privacy, this is a great place to family or group gatherings.

Great house on beautiful property
We spent so much time outside on the porch and on the deck by the water! It is really conveniently located to restaurants, activities, and shops. The house was comfortable and felt immediately like home.
We stayed here with our 4 kids and loved it. Tons of space, nice yard with tidal water behind it. The house had everything you could ever need, one of the best equipped houses we’ve rented. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Stay
Amazing, charming farmhouse with a beautiful bay view. The kitchen was fully equipped. Ample parking. Spotless home (props to the cleaning service). Very enjoyable stay in a quaint town.
Great place for kids to run around. We could watch them from the porch! Beautiful cove to explore at low tide. And near lots of cool Maine experiences.
Friends stayed at this property to attend a wedding. Location was perfect.

a true maine experience!
We were a family of 8, ranging from 2 y/o to 70 - and this house was absolutely perfect! Enough seating, rooms, and bedding for everyone to be together as well as take some space to themselves. Boothbay Harbor is a wonderful place to visit and we didn't go too far out of town since there was already so much to do there for us. we would definitely stay again!
There were 9 of us at this home for a 60th birthday celebration!
Every amenity was there to have a large group gathering including g a picnic table on the front porch! Breezes and water view was an added bonus!

Boothbay by the Bay
The house was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. The bedrooms were smaller, which is typical in old New England construction, but was made up for with the various common spaces, and outdoor spaces for utilization. The covered porch was amazing since we ended up with rain for most of our trip. All of the appliances were in working order. The house and each bedroom were clean, and tidy. The decor was all themed to the nautical New England vibe we wanted for the weekend.

Good
The location was perfect. Very close to town and the Botanical Gardens. The Driveway is a bit dicey to say the least.

Hi Willmon, thank you for providing us with this valuable feedback, we are so glad that you had a wonderful time at our beautiful home! We are sorry to hear about the driveway. We hope we can host you again on future stays.
The title and description are spot on, this is a vintage home with every amenity we needed for a long weekend exploring Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor. We only needed 3 bedrooms, so did not use the bunk beds tucked into the first floor alcove, and planned to spend most of our time out & about. It was a perfect location for us.
