Welcome to the real midwest, the crossroads of America! It's a place of love & happiness! Welcome home, even it's not your hometown because you WILL feel that way, by the time you leave. The only thing missing is mom's meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and greenbeans! (Good news, Cracker Barrel is only a few miles away.) Your cozy getaway awaits you in this beautiful neighborhood in Schererville, Indiana (very close to other cities: Gary, Crown Point, Merrillville, Dyer, Hammond, Munster, Griffith, Portage, Miller Beach, Chesterton and of course...the Chi... Chi-town...Chicago). Lots of large windows and light. A sweet patio. There are three bedrooms featuring a king bed and two queen beds, plus an 2nd living room spaces with room to add EZ bed if needed. Guests have plenty of room to spread out. The three bathrooms include both a shower and a bathtub in two of them, making it easy to refresh after a day of exploring the midwest, sightseeing, dropping a loved one off to college, visiting family, hanging out with friends from the annual reunion or just relaxing. Inside, you’ll find a nice balance of comfort and convenience to make your stay relaxing. Book now and enjoy everything this peaceful, sweet and loving home has to offer. Its a corner house with a large backyard. (FYI, the garage, master closet, utility closet & basements are private as they are owner's personal storage spaces.) Come on home, we are waiting on you! It's been way to long, and we miss you! ❤️

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
LAUNDRY: There 2 bags in the laundry room cabinet. Sheets - Gather all sheets & place in one bag. Gather all towels & put in another bag. Put the 2 bags on front porch. Laundry services will pick up.
Do not add bedspreads/covers to bag. Put those in the laundry room for housekeeper to wash. Do not remove protective mattress & pillow covers. If stained or damage we will address.
DISHES: Dirty dishes, wash off & put in laundry room. TRASH: Check all trash cans, put all in one bag & put in outside trash bin. FOOD: remove all open & used food & beverages.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Its very cold in the midwest, so we have protective clear film on the windows. DO NOT remove plastic film or open windows. New HVAC system at house.

I have never had another host be as accommodating and quick with responses as Elle. She made sure that everything was comfortable and checked in with us to be sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful neihhborhood. I hope to be back.

The house was very clean. The house looked exactly like the pictures. The host was easy to communicate with. Whenever we are in town we will be booking the house again if available.

Thank you for the 5 star rating Duwana.. 10/10! Duwana and guests were a joy to work with. Fyi, VRBO had multiple global outages this weekend and my 5 star rating score will not go through properly for them. I put in a ticket to fix but I want to share here too, they were 5 star guests and it would be an honor to host them again and again. It was a pleasure working together and look forward to you coming back.
