Cheeky Tiki is a destination within your perfect beach vacation. This charming beach bungalow offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a wrap around porch, and a fenced backyard with a custom tiki bar for post-beach leisure and entertaining. Our home is a great getaway for family, friends, and your dog(s).



Nestled in the heart of OKI, recently named North Carolina’s best-kept secret by Travel + Leisure, it is a 10-minute walk to the beach and a minutes drive to restaurants, bars and grocery stores.



The Space:

The Cheeky Tiki is nestled on 9th street, with beach access directly over the scenic intercoastal walkway.



Our Bungalow boasts 4 queen beds and 1 king bed across 3 rooms, including custom built-in bunk beds the kids (and adults) will be sure to love. Our open concept living room, dining, and kitchen allows for seamless entertaining and family time. Our kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishware and serving platters to make meals in easy and convenient.



Enjoy coffee on our wraparound front porch, equipped with a gate for ease of mind with dogs and young children. A fully covered screened porch towards the back of the house leads you out to your fully fenced backyard.



The backyard boasts covered outdoor seating with a fire pit, a grill area, outdoor games including corn hole and a custom horse shoe pit, and a custom tiki bar––with a suspended TV, pool table, and fitness equipment.



Kayaks, beach towels, and beach chairs are also available.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire home minus an owner’s closet.



The Neighborhood:

Lovely, quiet neighborhood in the desirable "Tranquil Harbor" section of Oak Island. This is a perfect neighborhood for a leisurely stroll or a bike ride. The home is located within a 1 minute walk to the Intercoastal Waterway (ICW), a ten minute walk to the beach (3 minute drive!), and a five minute drive to grocery stores, gift shops, clothing stores, restaurants, ice cream shops and more. Just across Oak Island Drive is the 9th Street Crossover, which offers a walking bridge across the canal and to the beach.



Getting Around:

Getting around on Oak Island is easy. In addition to traditional vehicles, we find that our guests enjoy walking, biking, or even renting an E-Bike or golf cart. (please keep in mind that golf cart drivers and passengers must follow the same rules of the road as cars, and are not allowed on streets with a speed limit greater than 35 mph).



Whatever your mode of transportation, you'll find you are greeted everywhere you go by a smile or a friendly wave.

We have left a manual with house rules inside, and to help make your stay extra special, we have curated notes from our experiences on OKI. Please read through it and let us know if you have any questions.



Be sure to stay up-to-date on the weather for your stay. We require all guests to leave our bungalow if the county declares an evacuation, such as for a hurricane. Also, please be aware of rip current conditions before swimming in the ocean. Our bungalow is located in a tropical environment.
